I know there was a offer for this at makro for £79 but not many ppl live near makro. Most of us do however live near a homebase and its on offer at the moment, Its a great hoover rated better than a vacuum and dyson by many ppl and definatly lasts longer than both of them put together.
1200 Watts.
Hi/Low power control.
Washable filter.
Includes dusting brush and upholstery brush.
Stainless steel extension tube.
Crevice tube.
Floor nozzle.
10m power cord

Gd idea i will do this tomorrow thanks
i bought one of these last year, and it's the most practical no nonsense vacum cleaner i've ever owned. you usually struggle to get these for under the £99 mark.
highly recomended. parts are easily available if you ever have to change parts, and if you wrap the hose around the henry hoover it stores really compact.
Andrew.

I agree- I borrowed my neighbours last weekend after ours blew up and must say that I was very impressed after being very "anti Henry"
I now want one but its still not in my price range at the mo :-(
i dont think I can look at Henry the same way once i had read this
I imagine there's a good reason for that + it's stood up to a good deal of punishment from us so far :whistling:

Each room? Your lucky, at Reading uni when I was in halls it was one between like 30 people!

Hoover is a brand name (like Dyson) that has become synonymous with vacuum cleaners.
Otherwise, not so great for day to day carpet hoovering due to lack of a beater brush. I have both the Henry and the Dyson and they complement each other, the advantages of each are clear and the Dyson wins hands down on thicker carpets whilst the Henry does the rought stuff.
Nothing wrong with using genericised trademarks in normal language either.
For example, Amazon have a 2200w Russell Hobbs (bagless) which is cheaper...

..does the amount of watts make a big difference in terms of suction?
I'm looking for a 2nd vac to clean out the car with and to do the rough jobs that I don't fancy tackling with my Dyson!
Is it worth paying the extra premium for a Henry?
.
The Dyson gives me earache such is the high pitch, hard work and clumsy, doesnt store very well either.
something is wrong with yours then, these have High/low power, high power will suck up small lumps of concrete and gravel all the way to the bag, they usually get stcuk in the Dyson and rattle in the pipe.
Takes a lot of abuse and keeps on working, even with a full bag.
These are no-nonsense cleaners and are used by a lot of professional cleaning firms for obvious reasons.
Good deal but if this is a regular price then wait until Homebase have a "10% off day" and save a bit more:thumbsup:
