Totally agree, have one now and used it while doing up our house, it took a lot of punishment and its still going strong!
#4
Tough little vacuum cleaner,

wish it was a little bit cheaper then i'd get one, still HOT!
#5
Great price. These are so quiet and clean well. Far better than Dyson's in my experience. Good price.
#6
Heat and rep, good deal :)
#7
nice find best vacum weve ever used well worth money
#8
got one of the orginals..... mine is 20yrs old + still going strong as a tank with no real loss in suction
#9
We had one for over 10 years, when it finally went we got a vax. What i pile of c**p that is. Cuts out every 5 minutes and gives out more heat than an electric heater. Would defo get one of these if you're after i hoover.
#10
They're the best. I've noticed that commercial office cleaning companies often use them (never Dyson) - that speaks volumes about their reliability and efficiency.
#11
This deal sucks.

...

Sorry. Voted hot, obviously, though I'm bitter that it turned up the week after I bought my new Henry for £99 - a replacement for a Hoover cyclone vacuum that lasted just past its warranty date before expiring.
#12
Possibly cheaper at marshall ward if you use voucher codes. I got one for a similar price to the op, but I also got 20 bags included. It's currently £89 so use the £15 off voucher(at your own risk of course) http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/171447/15-off-50-spend-marshall-ward/ and quidco and you have a better deal.
#13
Oh Henry -!

If you ever wanted a simply indestrucable vacuum that doesn't try and con you with bag free abilties, cyclo-vac or has a "Wheel" - THIS IS IT!

These bad boys are used by a huge amount of cleaning agencies and this is due to their quality, ease of use, and constant reliability.

I could not recommend a better vacuum cleaner!

Normally if I don't like something I say it "sucks the phat one", in this case though, Henry sucks the phat one out of the small one! Nice one Hen !

Good vacuum cleaner, but there are better deals elseware. Especially the Henry+ (model HVR370-P) which i paid £99.99 for a few months back :whistling: Still not a bad deal compared to other high street shops.

Well spotted! Thanks for the pointer - as pointed out, at your own risk but marshall ward are normally pretty good.

The + version is bigger and heavier so may not be suitable for the home!

... No probs for my home, but then again my house is massive. :p Seriously though i dont know if they are really all that much bigger. I think they are a little bit taller. However, personally i prefer the larger size, bumpers and redesigned wheels because it doesnt keep toppling forwards like ive heard the standard version does all the time. Its certainly alot lighter, smaller and move manoverable than any of my previous vacuum cleaners. Honestly, your reply sounds like im comparing a henry to a dyson LOL ... Also if size/weight reduction is an issue then might i suggest you try the kiddies henry toy vacuum cleaner (although they break as soon as you look at them apparently) LOL

Comet, so I probably deserve everything I got. :D Needed one in a hurry, though, and it was the only place locally that had one in stock, so can't complain.

The only reason i asked is to see if they had a price match policy or what they return policy is...

comet

For products purchased in store (includes click & collect, call & collect and text & collect orders)

Unopened Products

At comet we always try to help. If it is brand new and still in a sealed box. Simply return the product with your receipt to the local store within 28 days of purchase and we will credit you with a gift card or offer you a full refund.

Buy from dixons, take the new dixons one to comet with the old receipt and get a refund. Then you will save £18! :)

Thought I'd add my bit to the Henry hyping....

Bought one a few months back via John Lewis using the £20 voucher..... and I can now say that I will never look at another vacuum the same every again....

Henry's quiet yet powerful, works on hard floors as well as carpets of various lengths.. if you want a vacuum thats reliable and does what it says.... then look no further.

As for the price for this its not a bad deal but not brilliant either....
#25
I am very curious about this....

I am looking to buy a vacuum cleaner but I am looking for one with alergy filters...I doubt this has one.....
#26
Another one for the henry fan club!

Best vacuum cleaner ever and will never be beaten for build quality, performance, reliability and general ease of use

got a henry extra from viking direct when it was on special offer which worked out to about £95 with the airo brush and full accessory kit and extra bags..........absolute bargain at the time!
#27
Just don't tell Russell Brand! :P
#28
Surely THIS is a better deal @ £17.99 ;-)

Our Henry just died after many years of faithful service... just after buying a stack of new bags. Maybe we should get a replacement.

pretty sure you can get a replacement drop in filter that is fine for an allergy sufferer

There was a study done about allergy filters and basically it stated that it was all a gimmick, although it reduced it about 40%, still left 60% of dust particles in the atmosphere...

I can believe that - my Henry is ALOT cleaner when vacuuming compared to some big brand uprights that ive had with the HEPA filters. I literally could taste the dust thrown out the back of them. Coughing whilst vacuuming = not good filtration even with 3 stage filtartion with HEPA ... its all PR gimmicks (and to force you to buy expensive filters). BTW My son has asthma, so its a big issue for me. You can buy different filters for the henry (which dont need replacing all the time), but i honestly dont think they are a requirement. At end of the day, so long as the vacuum vacuums and doesnt blow half the stuff out the back then you should be fine. No matter how many HEPA filters you attach to a s*** cleaner, its still s*** if it dont suck.
#32
You can buy a henry micro that has a dust filter (the big bit at the top that goes into the henry is thicker on the micro) I have that one and it is very good, don't know if it is better than the normal henry but I like it.

I got it from amazon but they seem to have put the price up by thirty quid!

#33
Amazon also do the commercial version which has a 12.5m cable and a few other advantages for a tenner more

we've had about 3 henrys over the past 20 years , and got one now. i like this hoover beacuse you can make the kids do all the work because it is light and has eyes.

Poor Henry!
#36
Henry is the Best! great deal HOT:-D
#37
Henrys are brilliant, I have one that gets used when I do DIY, or for any larger jobs. Used comercially because they are robust.

I still use a Dyson (older UK made DC04 better than DC07) and will keep it for as long as it keeps going - it's already over six years old and still brilliant). The reason I keep the Dyson for most work over a Henry is because the Henry doesn't have a beater brush and I believe that they are necessary for carpets.

Another Hot Vote from another very happy Henry owner.

If you've got an Egg card and pay with it, then you might get an extra 2.5%. You're supposed to go through the Egg site link, but I''ve used it through Quidco and got both in the past. Worth a go if you have an Egg card.

If anybody wants his Girlfriend Hetty, she's £94.51 here with free next day delivery.
#39
Paid about the same when Debenhams had the discount code that I saw from Hotukdeals.

The Henry is much better than the old bagless vacuum cleaner. A lot more suction, easier to clean (filter does not take ages to clean unlike the bagless) and does not need to be emptied often due to the big bag inside.

I've just bought one on eBay for £65 delivered, could try there.
