its half the price compare to amazon. heat added.
I bought the 2.0 system from play last week, and hopefully it should be delivered today - i assume the satelite speakers are identical between the different versions, I don't know about hte control box. From what it says on the Play site, i think each of the satelites is 5w rated.

I should be able to give a better description, minus the subwoofer, sometime this evening.
Nice, how would this compare to Altec Lansing MX5021?
I presume this wont charge an iPod? great price all the same.
where is the remote ?
I think it will charge an iPod, and a Zune - and from what i gathered from the reviews i read, i think you can thread a USB cable through it, so you might even be able to charge decent MP3 players as well :D

is it wireless? does anyone know a wireless one?
"Wired Remote Control designed to house MP3 player"

...does this mean that the remote control has a wire leading the telly? Bit silly if it is!

The remote control has a wire going to the speakers, you don't very often find a wireless remote control on these things, not for this price anyway.
Funny how the photos don't show the wires.

It would look messy then wouldn't it!!

"Cable to connect the remote control and the computer: 1.80m"

Thought the remote would connect to the speakers, maybe they connect to the computer? Either way, it's wired!
cable goes from audio source (and also microphone source, it has a little output on the side to allow you to connect in a headset, etc.) to the control unit, which then connects to the right speaker, and the right speaker connects with a cable to the left speaker.

it has an extra 3.5mm jack for an aux line in, but i have not tested this yet. the control unit has a hole through it in such a way that you can pass a USB cable through it, and it stays in place, which alloqws you to use it as a dock for any MP3 player which has a cable attachment at the bottom - it actually works quite well, i'm very impressed with it. Looks good too, although would look better if it was angled back slightly.

Overall, i'd rate these quite highly (i have the 2.0 set for £15 from play) they are affordable, and give decent sounding audio. They distort somewhat at the top end, but for budget speakers they produce a good volume, and they definately look the business. They also have a lot of heft to them - i imagine they would make for quite a devastating bludgeoning tool were you to be attacked at your computer by for example, bears, wolves, zombies or raptors. Of course, with only 2 speakers and a sub, if all 4 were to attack simultaneously, you'd be in trouble, but the speakers can hardly be blamed for your own lack of foresight regarding proper raptor defense.

All in all, a good sound, and even with just the 2.0 system, they can produce a satisfying deep sound (of course, adding in a Sub improves the quality of movies considerably). The only problem i have now is that the LED is so bright it lights up the room even if the room lights are switched off.
Hi - Can I hook this up to a PS3 and SKY+ box?
you would need a 2 Phono (M) to 3.5mm (F) adapter.

something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/RCA-phono-plugs-stereo-socket/dp/B000LB0X5K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1233161223&sr=1-1

you can probably find it in many places, although i myself had difficulty locating anywhere other than ebay - the inordinate number of male to nale adapters makes it hard to find the right thing.

Back in stock from Amazon at £27.98, £2 more but some people may have vouchers or prefer Amazon for customer service.

That was a marketplace seller, not Amazon themselves.
