What time can I check-in?
From 14:00 on the day of arrival.

When do I need to check-out?
12:00 although you can extend your check-out for £5 per hour, up to 16:00.


5Rooms
How do we book a double and a twin room when the system only allows us to book one room type?
You can only book one room type per booking. However we do have some twin rooms; please call the hotel directly to check availability on this room type and to amend or make your booking for a Twin. Only by getting a direct confirmation from the hotel will your twin room be guaranteed.

We have children and the website is saying we need to book two rooms.
The maximum number of people in a room is two. However we can accommodate infants with travel cots sharing their parents' room and extra beds for children under 12 years old. Travel cots and extra beds are available free of charge from the hotel. As soon as you have made your reservation, please call the hotel directly in order to check the availability and book a cot or extra bed.

I'm sure I booked for two adults but when I received my confirmation it says only one adult. Do I need to get this changed before I arrive?
Our rates are charged per room rather than per person, so this does not affect the price you pay. There is no problem if you have not entered the correct number of guests. We will simply change this at check-in. Please note the maximum capacity is two adults per room.


5Breakfast
What is the lite Prêt breakfast?
The lite Prêt breakfast which is included in the room rate comes directly from Prêt a Manger and consists of a yoghurt pot, fresh orange juice and a banana. If you would like a cooked breakfast, The Hoxton Grille in the lobby offers a wide selection of breakfast options from £8.50.


5Booking Process
When do I receive my e-mail confirmation?
Our e-mail confirmations are computer generated and can take up to 24 hours. Please make sure you have given us the correct e-mail address for this confirmation.

How do I book?

I can't seem to book or I received an error message?
This is probably stupid system problems that our software suppliers cannot provide a satisfactory explanation for - sorry! When booking rooms, you may get the following messages. (We have translated these from IT talk into the English language!)

"You are trying to select a range of dates where we have no vacancy on at least one day for the room you have selected"
In English, this means the hotel is full on one or more of the dates selected. Please try again.


"Invalid Rate Type"
In English, this means there are no more rooms at £1. Please try another date or another rate.


"Connection timed out"
In English, this means the system is experiencing large volumes of users trying to book rooms. Your booking has not been confirmed and you will need restart the booking process - Sorry.

Cancellation & Changes Policy
What is your cancellation policy and where is it on the website?
If you book a room on our website, the booking cannot be cancelled but the date can be changed using our on-line form. Click Here for a small fee of £15. Payment is taken at the time of booking and cannot be changed. You will have to accept the terms and conditions in order to confirm your online booking, so please make sure you read these before accepting.

Changes are permitted for any bookings (except for promotional rates booked during our £1 sale). All pre-paid bookings for arrivals more than one day from the booked arrival date can be amended by submitting our on-line form. Once we have received your on-line form we will amend the booking subject to the hotel having space for the new dates requested. We will then charge the card originally provided, our change fee of £15, and where applicable the rate difference between the old and the new rate. (If the rates on the new dates requested are lower than originally booked you will only have to pay the change fee.) However, you will not receive a refund. Within 24 hours of submitting the form we will then email you a revised confirmation, stating clearly all the changes made.

If you are less than one day from your arrival date you can change your booking directly with the hotel until 16:00 on the day of arrival by calling our reservations team on 020 7550 1000. After that time no changes can be made.


5Payment
When will my credit card be charged?
Payment for a booking is processed when you book rather than when you check-out from the Hotel. This process can take up to 48 hours to be actioned.

What do I do if I need to book using a debit card?
You can pay by debit card over the phone but this is the only option for this type of booking.

How to get here
We're located a short stroll from the City of London and a five minute walk from Old Street Station (Northern Line). You need to take EXIT 3 from the station. See our interactive map for more help.


5£1 Promotion
What room type is included in the £1 offer?
Our rates are not determined by the number of adults in the room. Our rooms have either queen-size beds or two single beds and the promotional rate is based on either 1 or 2 people occupying the room.

What is included in the £1 rate?
The price confirmed on your booking includes VAT and a Light Pret Breakfast which is delivered to your rooms and consists of a freshly squeezed orange juice, a granola yoghurt pot and a banana. There are other breakfast options in the Hoxton Grille restaurant situated on the ground floor at the hotel. These would be charged to you separately. Our rates are not determined by the number of adults in the room. Our rooms have either queen-size beds or two single beds and the rate is based on either 1 or 2 people occupying the room.

Can I have more than one room at a £1?
Please note that we have limited the number of rooms that can be booked on this £1 promotion to a maximum of one room per person. If we find that you have managed to book more than one room at this rate, we reserve the right to cancel the additional room or rooms and we will notify you that we have done this by e-mail, with cancellation numbers.

Can I change the dates?
When you have completed your booking and have a confirmation number, your credit or debit card will be charged immediately. As per our terms and conditions, this amount will be non-refundable and the date of your booking cannot be changed. Like low cost airlines, we can only offer low prices by having these booking conditions.

When will the next £1 offer be?
The £1 sale happens periodically thoughtout the year. Join The Hox Fan Club to ensure you hear about them before a general release.

How do I book a second night?
If you have been successful in booking a £1 room, and wish to reserve an additional night please click on standard rates on the book now page, and our other great rates will be displayed.

I didn't receive an e-mail telling me about the promotion
We have used a third party to send out our e-mail informing all of those people who signed up to our mailing list about the £1 promotion. If you haven't received the notification please e-mail contact us and we will take this up with the third party.

Been here for £1 twice, great hotel! You need to be on time for the sale, rooms at £1 are always sold out within a couple of minutes. :thumbsup:

You go online at the alloted time and try and book using their online booking form. This can only be done at 12:00. It normally sells out within 3 mins and when I have tried the site (or my PC) has always froze but a number of people get rooms so always worth a try. I live in London so I am not really bothered if I get a room or not. Just a bit of fun and would save me a journey on a cr*p transport system for a night out.

woo hoo managed to get one of the £1 rooms this time round. only managed a £29 one before. great little hotel and for a quid what more can I ask for ;).

Lucky you.. Ive never managed as the server surprisingly crashes.. what a Skank.. I daresay the lucky ones are employees or friends that know how to fiddle it !!!

I know that before when iwas not so lucky I used IE for the browser but this time tried Apple Safari and that seemed to click through much quicker :) maybe thats the trick.
