Ahh yes, season 1 of Heroes back when it was still good. Shame it never fulfilled the promise of that first season. Good price for teh Blu-ray

I do dislike the shortsightedness of people who slate the later series. When the press started on them it's like they never saw the first series at all. I like them all, yet to see the last one as BBC shafted it and I heard really good things about it.

Been looking at getting the first one to watch again. Voted HOT. Just wish they'd stopped after one series :(

The series has gotten consistently poorer in quality and story.

hence why its been canned. did the story actually advance after series 1?

If you haven't seen after s1, how can you say it's justified that it's been cancelled? :whistling:

In all honesty season 2 was setting up to be great, before the writers strike forced a rushed ending, season 3 ended up like seasons 3-4 in LOST, a storyline going back on itself, and season 4 had maybe 3 good episodes.

Couldn't agree more. If they had ended Season 1 properly it would have been classic TV. Sadly the poor ending of S1 and the poor quality of later seasons (especially the faux Irish accents is S2) spoil the good work they had put in to S1.

It sad really that American TV series don't have a clear idea of the story they are trying to tell and the length of time it takes to tell it. They start a run with half a dozen episodes then commisision another 16-18 if it does well. Further series are then commissioned for as long as the show is popular. Eventually they get worse and worse until they are cancelled with no resolution.

Season 2 destroyed the series.

Season 2 ep 1 had like 18m views and the second episode had about 6m views. Says it all really.

The problem was it was all about character development, that's why heroes was so good in season 1.

But the writers thought we wanted that again in season 2.

We watched heroes because we wanted to see 'People with superpowers' and then they say 'HAY LETS TAKE THEIR POW3RS AW4Y PEOPLE WILL LOVE THAT' turning it into american eastenders with guns.

What they did to Peter was the worst decision they ever made. And then not killing Sylar was ridiculous too.

But the most important question is; HOW DID PETER GET HIS SCAR? Better be a movie so I get my answer.

You may have heard good things about it, but you won't see anything good when you get around to watching it. Season 3/4 makes Season 2 look brilliant in comparison.

I think on Day 9 Jack Bauer by defeating Sylar should get the power to flashforward to the afterlife, lost on a desert island and end up in limbo with Gene Hunt seeing dead policemen.

Its strange how their prices differ from site to site, considering they're all the same company with the same web layout and very similar domain names.

Oh well :p

I am interested in getting a blu ray player and from now on getting alot of blu rays however i am slightly concerned about doing so, should blu ray fail, then it will be alot of money wasted? Any advice would be great.

What do you mean by blu ray "failing"?

It will be around for another 15-25 years depending on how long it takes to develop Super Hi-Vision/UHDTVs, so its definitely a worthwhile investment. Blu-Rays only rival was HD-DVD, which died out a few years back, and unless digital distribution somehow takes over, which untill everyone has fibre optic broadband installed, it wont.

In a nutshell, blu-rays will be around for years to come, so its a safe investment ;-)

maybe he means bluray may lose against digital downloads eg itunes hd, amazon downloads, virgin media vod etc....
