Really enjoyed this second series even if it did get some bad press, great price and good time to catch up before series 3 begins next week.

Good deal for what it is regardless of how pants S2 is....heat added.

Its not as bad as everyone makes out, there are problems with it but we watched with the belief that it was gonna be truely awful and it wasn't. Thing is if you don't watch season 2 then season 3 is probably gonna make no sense at all and I'm sure its gonna be much better now that the writers strike is over and they can actually make a full season.
#12
Be aware that Season 2 only has half as many episodes as season 1 due to writers strikes in the USA this past year....so it's not as much viewing as you might expect from a whole season's box set.

Saying that it's an excellent season IMO and comes highly recommended by me.

The quality of S2 had ****** all to do with the strike, the number of episodes Yes, the quality of them no.

Tim Kring said himself that the studio execs forced him to mess with too many things, the usual problem of an exec thinking they're creative geniuses,

But Kring did say... that with S3 he would be back in almost full control...so hang tight<<:)

For those also looking for Season 1:

Season 1 of Heroes was annoyingly released on DVD as a 2-part set (and bizarrely is still purchasable as such) and then later on as a complete season. The end result is that the complete season 1 set is waaay overpriced at all the online retailers - I see prices over 30 pounds still.

With my recent purchase of an LG combo Blu Ray/HD DVD drive, I set about looking for the cheapest season 1 set in any format. It turned out to be the HD DVD version - it's 17.81 pounds at 101cd.com for example. It might be a dead format, but there's some great HD DVD bargains to be had (though by Xmas, I suspect all online retailers will remove HD DVD from their listings - several already have).

BTW, Heroes Season 3 "countdown" show was strangely aired last night - a day early - in Canada (bizarrely claiming that S03E01 would be "tonight", prompting Global to put up captions to say it would be "tomorrow" ;-) ) with episodes 1 and 2 tonight. Can't wait...

Season 2 was pretty good I thought :)

Glad they didn't go with the trite virus idea in episode 11 (see special features) even if it was an enforced and unintended change.

biggest con - £20 for like 10 episodes
