Hmmm. If there was a way of locking the cap I think it would be a good portable device but maybe it's better suited for low profile use (ie always plugged in and not sticking out/easily damaged).

Interesting item.

I bought a 16GB of this last week but the cap is too loose. It just literally drops as soon as you hold the drive vertically.

I have logged a call with Play and might return it as they are happy to replace it, but I have a feeling that the other one would be the same as checking on the net suggets it's a manufacturing faultt..I really like this drive but due to the cover thinking of returning it

Has anyone faced the similar problem ? or how they look after the cap of the drive

Thanks

Just what I was thinking :)

My 16Gb version [also bought from Play in early Feb] didn't come with the tiny lanyard as shown in the pic above - the plastic 'bubble' is square, not round as above, so it's not that it was just missed from inclusion in my instance.

Not opened/used it yet.

Dinky :)

Exactly how I'm using mine :D

If you want an even smaller solution buy one of those tiny MicroSD readers from DealExtreme and a 4GB card.

Would you happen to know what model number your sony stereo is? Mine didn't like an 8gb stick I bought for it once so I assumed 4gb was the limit. If we end up having the same model number and the 16gb version of this works in it, i'll give that a go!

Great! Just what I've been looking for so I've ordered a couple. I'll install FreeNAS on them and use them to boot my ProLiants. Perfect! :)
