Ok. I know this has been posted recently at £78.75. If you look here http://direct.tesco.com/search/default.aspx?search=marquee
you will see the 2 boxes that make up item 901-1670 (the full marquee at £78.75) on sale for £21.87 each but you can't get them in your basket.

I called customer services 0845 600 4411 and complained that I should be able to buy them if they are on offer and that I wasn't trying to buy them separately, I was trying to buy both boxes. After several minutes discussion I was told the only way I could do it was to order at £78.75 and she would immediately process a refund of £35.01 to make it the same price as the 2 separates boxes. I went ahead (ordered on the phone with her) and immediately got email confirmation of the order followed by confirmation of the refund.

At £46.11 delivered this is an incredible deal!!!

What, for £46.11?

also quoted your argument, tried to fob me off with paying £78.75 but i was very persistant that they were false advertising, had to speak to a manager who stated that they would charge my account at £78.75 and refund the difference within 14days.
in all the confusion forgot to ask for sim for free delivery. never mind a bargain none the less:thumbsup:

So sorry, my fault I didn't read the entire post correctly and thought it was just like all the others that have been posted in the last week or two!

I was looking at this and thought it was a bargain anyway for the £78 for a community group I am involved with, was just waiting for authorisation that we had enough funds to cover the cost of one before ordering.

However, now reading your post correctly I ordered one, and then have just rang CS quoting your argument, and they have agreed to refund the £35 back. I ordered it first and paid for it so they couldn't then turn round and say there was none left in stock whilst quickly withdrawing it from the site!

Thanks so much for posting this, the kids that will use it will be really pleased now I'm sure

p.s. I went through Quidco for an extra 3% off to!!

Great deal - have been looking at one of these for ages - great for summer parties etc. Phoned customer services - they weren't very helpful - told me admin team said if was a pricing error! I insisted that I was entitled to buy it at the advertised price and asked to speak to a manager - eventually they agreed to me buying the full kit and refunding £35 pounds - a bit of a struggle to get there but definitely worth it - super price Many thanks for finding it.

Just called Customer Service, who informed me there was "an ongoing issue" with the pricing of this and I would have to call back tomorrow or pay the higher price. They basically wouldn't budge. However, this is a great deal and well done ot those who got it at the much lower price.

error message keeps coming up now when I try to add them to basket. Ö

You have to call customer services because it won't let you buy them online. Read the post again properly and try again.

Not a complete result. You could have ordered a £2.37 sim and saved 10p. I don't know, some people have more money than sense! :p
#18
Does not matter how much he paid for the sim as he said he is returning it for a full refund

Now showing discontinued.

Wife called this Tesco CS this morning to buy one. They kept her waiting on the phone for over half an hour then came back saying "Sorry this is no longer available". (It was not discontinued when she started the phone call).

Sounds like the Tesco Monday morning shift has 'fixed' the problem.

Arrgghh.

Like he said. Even if it reappears I suspect they will have closed the 'loophole'.

Well done to all that got one.

You mean you ordered it before it was discontinued and are now asking for the refund?

What about showing them this thread to prove others have had it? Call them back and say it's not fair, some getting it at the cheaper price and not others.

Maybe worth a try.

Phone them and say your friend (me) was refunded the £35.01 and legally they must honour the cheaper price, if needbe i will e-mail you the invoice they cannot have 1 person paying 1 amount and 1 another. i had to phone 2 or 3 times to get some1 who would do the refund worth a try let me know if you need my refund e-mail

Heh heh! That fooled me! I was certain that if they had any left they would re-appear at the old price with the other 2 cheaper parts gone!

Well spotted!

Mine is due this week - what sort of size are the boxes? God knows where we are going to store it, keep forgetting we have just had a garage conversion so longer am able to stick stuff in there

Took delivery of mine on Friday. The downside was that there were no guy ropes or pegs and no instructions or checklist. Not sure if anything else is missing as I have no checklist. Reported immediately and now await a response.

It comes in two boxes. One about 7ft x 2ft x 1ft (the poles) the other around 4ft x 3ft x 3ft (the cover, side panels and fittings). Health and Safety warning on the larger box recommends two people to handle it. They are fairly easy to store until you unwrap the cover. Then it is almost impossible to close the box again.

As so many people have received these without instructions or a parts checklist, I have put a copy of those sent to me on Flickr. The account is "tescomarquee".
