nice, ordered for my 360. Now I just need a good cheap hdmi auto switch. Zavvi are pretty good for this sort of thing. I got sick of play.com messing up my order and taking so long.

people believe the hype from those shops and think high price means better picture
hdmi is digital so no need to pay pounds for a cable

same goes for USB cables, you still see PCworld selling them for £10-£15 near there printers
is how those shops make there money on cheap printers from people that dont know any better

2009 consumables law means all printers must ship with USB cables now.... so by by to that scam..... If it has ethernet it must also ship with an ethernet cable too....

I mean i am using £1.50 hdmi cables for my ps3 and dvd player bought. The picture quality is excellent with those cables! A friend got conned into buying a £60 hdmi cable when she bought her LCD TV from comet. I then took one of my £1.50 hdmi cable just to show her there isn't any difference in-terms of quality and she was well gutted!!!

Subject: Reference Number 10867568.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the information required for a printer.

I have looked into your enquiry and can advise you the printers on our Argos website do not come with usb cable, as this is an accessory.

Regards,

Joan Power

Although it's a 2009 law it didn't come into effect until June this year, it also only applies to products manufactured after June, so anything made previously or refurbs etc don't have to have it....

I only know as we've had to include USB cables in one of our electronic products.

Also the law has been in place since 2007 if it's a propietary device ie cameras, phones etc all have to have them included already.

Worth also noting this is version 1.3, 1.4 is now available which has some worthy improvements, this is great for the majority though.

I got this cable, plugged it into the ross 2 way manual hdmi switch that i got from sainsburys for £1.49 and the cable doesnt work. I tried plugging directly into the tv and it doesnt work yet my other £1.49 ross hdmi cable and a play.com cheapy work fine. On close inspection ive notice that three of the little connector pins are either gone completely or been bent to the very back.

Now whether the cable was already like that or whether it got damaged putting into the new 2 way switch box ,which was quite an awkward fit at first. So from my experience this cable sucks as my other two didnt have any trouble.
