Just seen these in Tesco Sale (the Place)

great price just 63p (2 adult, 2 kids). reduced from 5.04 p. Not sure if its nationwide, they had about 10 in the motoring section.

Got to be of use to somebody.

Shine On!

What would be the use of these?

quick tip about buying hi vis vests...............

get ORANGE ones as yellow ones attract flies and bees etc.

otherwise you'll look stupid waving your arms about like a spazz

Kids ones are great for walking/cycling to school

Adult ones for cycling, walking along unlit country roads, breakdowns etc Could use them for motorbikes but the velcro isn't usually strong enough...

If unavailable Poundland sell single ones, forgot the price though
#9
Travelling in some EU countries you must have one for each person in the car

I find that really annoying too. I think the staff are just too lazy to put price stickers on. I always have to get items scanned before deciding whether to buy or not.

I agree but I think it's a good idea to have everything weighing the same.

I've got a proper orange PTS hi viz vest, I loves it... and it rips to bits when I get attached by a train! 63p for 4 is a bargain though, good spot OP!

I'll go and try my luck with Reading tomorrow. I need one of these for flying and went along to Halfords to buy one yesterday, but at £8.00 a go, I decided to pass! Even Poundland had individual vests a few days ago, but small or medium only, which were both 'wishful thinking' sizes for me!

... and they must be within immediate reach of all the passengers where you are sat, (i.e: NOT stored in the boot etc). Instant fines (collected 'there & then" of about £40 per person) :x

I think this is a great urban myth, most insects and bees can tell the difference between a yellow high Vis vest and a flower :)
I've worn a yellow high vis vest for at least 15 Years and never had any problems.
The orange came about from rail workers wearing them, in trials the high speed train drivers said they were more easy to spot at high speed.

no myth - I biked home this morning parked up behind the house and left my flo yellow bike jacket over the handlebars, I was only gone 1 min and when I returned it was crawling in little black insects - yellow t shirt are just as affective in attracting them as well
