AO Return Policy:
Whats up princess, something in the returns policy you don't understand?

Buy the telly, if you don't want/like it then AO will charge you a feasible amount to take it back.

Buy the telly and its broken/not as expected they will refund you in full as per consumer rights.

So, whats your question?

Don't distance selling regulations mean you can return items without any charges?

Anyway, great price... If I wasn't so tight I'd seriously consider trading out my 9 year old 40" Sony bravia for this.

What's up "pimp me" keyboard warrior? Something you don't understand about my message or AO's terms?

The return charges upto 50% are not related to the return cost i.e courier costs but the cost of the item if you simply change your mind. I think this is important to point out to any potential buyers.

So what's your problem? Pimp business failing?

Review of the TV:

Bottom line, if you want it for HDR, don't bother as the TV doesn't get bright enough.

Excellent TV if you get a good one. My Black 65k5510 is going back on Saturday. It's plagued with issues that spoil an otherwise excellent Television. Would I recommend buying one of these from AO - no, not with their returns policy. I bought mine from John Lewis who are refunding me the full purchase price minus a £29.95 collection charge as I've had the TV over 28 days. I've actually had it for just under two months as I was in two minds whether or not to return it.

Its hard to knock it as this price, I paid £749 and thought that was decent - once refunded if I see it at this price again I might try another one. Possibly going against my own advice and buying one from AO and being less picky paying £100 less. Still though, I've read forum chatter where people have had no issues returning stuff to AO (change of mind) by being economical with the truth.

Just under a month until Black Friday, be silly to buy a TV now.

Would this be a good bet for a meeting room? Anyone used one for a PC output?

Placed an order for one of these tv's but unfortunately for me have received the dreaded email...

Quote... 'Thank you for placing your order with us.

'I’ve tried to contact you today to inform you that there is a delay in delivering your appliance, I am sorry. Unfortunately the item hasn’t arrived in to our warehouse from the manufacturer and we are unable to confirm the next delivery date for this at this time. I’m really sorry about this and I would like to resolve this with you as quickly as possible.

I’ve looked at the specifications of the model you ordered and found some alternatives that you may be interested in. You can see the specifications of these by clicking on the link provided'. End quote.

Looks like it would have been good though.

Its a good tv at excellent prices for what they are but if you want to go to the next level you have to pay twice as much or more like the Panasonic DX 902... https://www.avforums.com/review/panasonic-dx902-tx-65dx902b-uhd-4k-tv-review.12385

Something you don't understand about my message or AO's terms?
I understand AO's terms, therefor I don't see the point in scare tactics since its a widely used model.

Okay good for you, the internet needs more warriors.

So AO are not willing to pay the costs of a consumer changing thier mind, I don't see any issue with that. Obviously the 50% figure quoted will be quantifiable and relevant to the purchase price. Again whats the problem?

Vegeta

Is this two questions or just overuse of the ? character??

Anyway, sadly the pimp business died in the 80's, Huggie Bear killed it i'm afraid...

It's not scare tactics, it's facts. Just because you may be privy of AO's return charges of upto 50% doesn't mean others are too or do you think it's fair to leave other potential buyers in the dark?

So, because YOU don't see any issue with that doesn't mean other people won't? Also it's spelt their and were you supposed to ask me a question at the end of this sentence? Underuse of the question mark methinks.

It clearly bothers you that I'm pointing something out in AO's terms and conditions relating to their return policy for those who don't know.

I'm trying to extrapolate what your issue is with me pointing out something in AO's terms and conditions that is true yet you are saying it's scare tactics. You need to crawl back to your cave and learn grammar while you're at it.

Really noticeable speaker hiss at all volumes - more noticeable on quiet or dialogue scenes.

The screen had a 6" long defect running along the top edge, where the panel meets the bezel (like it was being pinched)

One of the legs on mine wouldn't attach securely due to screw holes not being threaded properly - when I took it down yesterday to box it up the remaining screws that went into the television were all slack.

Headphone jack went slack after only a couple of uses (< story of my life!)

The main issue for me was the screen, it was very noticeable and really distracting especially on panning shots. Had the TV not had that issue then I probably would have kept it and lived with the other issues.

If you find issue with yours, don't report it to John Lewis as a fault - just tell them you're not happy with and would like to return it under their 90 day return policy otherwise they'll insist on a repair and you'll be given the run around - guaranteed.

Thanks for the reply and the advice, the picture on mine is great and its wall mounted, sound through speakers via av receiver so wouldn't know if it has the other probs that yours had.
Good luck if you get another one and thanks again.
