I bought this earlier in the week, arrived on Friday. Got it even cheaper than this because I had a 10% off code from Ebay (only valid for a single use), which made it a no-brainer at £117. I'm no expert, but this seems to me a very nice TV, sound is not bad, has a USB input too.

why would you go for this when argos have the alba for £99 out of interest?
#3
2 reasons why I did: - (1) the Alba wasn't on offer at £99 last week, and (2) I wanted one with a built-in DVD anyway, which the Alba doesn't have. No idea about relative merits of specs etc.

Combined DVD player.

Although I have no idea why you would bother with this, when you can get this brand new from argos:

Bush 19inch HD LCD TV/DVD

Just found it on here- didn't do too well

apologies missed the combi part, that bush thing is pretty ugly to be fair and does have a lower resolution, kinda odd though as this one and the alba have

just a note that the DVD player in this does not appear to be multi region

Can anyone find a side view of the telly?
#7
i bought this at Christmas for my sons bedroom. it also has a usb input which is not mention and plays
films from flash drives, its not a bad tv all round but you do have to be viewing it from the full on front to
see a good picture

looks pretty good, tv prices are tumbling all sizes to. anyone know why this is happened?

yeah a few reasons cause price drops on tech

1. (most unlikely) exchange rate pound gets stronger.
2. (most likely) New tech pushes companies to offload older tech (ie Free view sets vs Free view/Free-sat HD sets)

and

C (). newer and more efficient ways of printing screens or merging on board chips etc allow for cost reductions at the assembly side thus passing savings down the line. ( this can be seen in the PS3 & 360 using smaller silicon and combining graphics and processors etc)

in the end its all good eh!

Bought three brand new xbox games (which are part of a bundle so are wrapped together in clear plastic) from argos on ebay and they sent them in a blue plastic bag with no other packaging! All three were completely smashed to pieces!
