Jump to unread Post a CommentYes. I had mine delivered last week and its already in my NAS. There is a tutorial on Youtube showing you how to take the hard drive out of the casing. Be aware though that removing it will likely invalidate your warranty as you will likely snap the clips holding the casing together. I had a bit more success removing mine from its housing than the poster of the video as they seemed to snap most of the clips off the case rendering it unusable (unless they glued it). Although I snapped some clips off I can still use the casing for another hard drive if I wish as it still clips together.

That is the funnies tutorial I have seen. Good to see the insides, but that guy was as cack handed as they come. I especially like the way he called ripping the side off and breaking all the clips a process. :D
Returned to eBuyer (collected free) and awaiting a replacement. The return was handled very well.
Other than that it seemed good while it lasted, plenty quick enough over USB 3.0.

Holy crap, that fella is a cowboy butcher if I have ever seen one! He nearly made me cry when he was taking that case apart!
If anyone could have told me how to do it without breaking I would have listened, but after opening them up I fail to see how they could have!
Cheers
