Great price according to me.. Just ordered one, and while it has only 4 reviews so far, they all look good... And with a 3yr warranty, u could potentially get a replacement if anything goes wrong..

- Sleek aluminium desktop enclosure that looks great just about anywhere
- Cool blue LED that shows you when your drive is working for you
- Simple, automatic backups with Hitachi Backup Software
- Automatically powers on and off with your computer
- 3-year warranty

Mines been fine (another Comet purchase).

Auto power on/off works fine although its probably still drawing some power (the plug/adapter is constantly warm)

Could this stream HD movies from it through the ps3 USB port if the format is changed to fat32? I have ps3 media server already downloaded onto the ps3

bought 2 gig version with WD media player a few months ago, the fact that it powers up on and off with the amp is a great , just ordered this one to back up my movies

I bought one of these to replace my clicking iomega drive. Early days I know but no problems here. It also switches on/off when the usb does which is handy.

Works fine on the ps3 once formatted to fat32 with this HP Tool

Format however you like, Connect to your PC, fill with HD movies, stream to your PS3

Who needs a Slingbox, or PC on the back of your Plasma????

Is it right that I can buy any external hard drive with USB connection and that will be enough to connect to the PS3 which has PS3 media server on it to play HD movies through it?

I don't want to have to run a PC to watch the movies because it is in a different room and I've heard wireless connection sometimes can't handle the HD streaming so well

Im about to use a 1tb for HD movies on my PS3 only problem doing it that way ive found is that most films are split into about 2-4 parts because of FAT32 cant go above 4gb.
