Great drive, ideal for upgrading a netbook/notebook. Low power consumption compared to other drives in its class. 320GB 2.5" go for around £50 at the moment.

Product sheet:

From Dabs:

Travelstar 5K500 uses a three-disk design to deliver up to 500 GB of capacity. This drive is extremely energy-efficient, with a power profile nearly identical to its 2-disk predecessor and Travelstar 5K500 performance is the highest among 2.5-inch 5400 RPM drives in PCMark testing. The 5K500 is well-suited for "slim" desktop PCs delivering high capacities in space-saving enclosures. Designed to help consumers enjoy their high-definition movies, music, photos and games on the go, Travelstar 5K500 delivers the features, design innovations and technologies that enhance the entertainment experience. The 5K500 provides the advantages of a desktop with the portability of a notebook.

Travelstar 5K500 is Hitachi's fourth-generation mobile drive to use perpendicular magnetic recording technology to deliver breakthrough capacity and reliability. Today's full-featured notebooks include premium speakers for enhancing a user's audio experience. These speakers can inadvertently cause vibrations within the system enclosure. To mitigate any adverse impact on system performance, the Travelstar 5K500 is the first mobile drive to feature Hitachi patented Rotational Vibration Safeguard (RVS) technology. RVS serves as an "early warning" system for the drive, enabling it to sense a possible disturbance in advance and take the necessary steps to stabilize the drive head and maintain performance.

Note, this drive is 12.5mm and WILL NOT FIT THE PS3. OP changed the post lol
Is it 400Gb or 500Gb capacity.
Is it 400Gb or 500Gb capacity.

The OP's description from Dabs' site says up to 500Gb as Hitachi make this particular hard drive in 500Gb capacities as well.
Will it fit my Macbook white?
Will it fit my Macbook white?

no, it's too thick for most of laptops / macbooks.
Will it fit my Macbook white?

12.5mm notebook drives like the Hitachi will only fit in the 17" Macbook Pro. Look out for 9.5mm drives. Currently, the only large capacity notebook drives that fit the Macbooks are the Samsung HM5000Li and the Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD5000BEVT (both 500GB)

I'm pretty sure that only the 17 inch Macbook Pro can take a 12.5 mm drive like this.

EDIT - Beaten to it. :D
shame its only 5400rpm
its a 5400rpm that doesnt fit in most laptops.

Welcome to HUKD :-D
I bought a couple of these two weeks ago, unfortunately I didn't realise they were 12.5mm thick. Had to send them back.

As they don't fit most laptops who buys these? Most people with desktops will go for faster and cheaper 3.5" drives.
