WTF who still uses SCART?

errr anyone using a Wii for example? People who work for a living and pay for their own stuff may be using something a little older rather than throwing it away because a newer connector is available.

There's a reason why these TVs are cheap, and you just mentioned one of them. I try to warn people too, but they don't seem to care! You get what you pay for. Spend an extra £70 (I know it's a bit much but totally worth it) you can get a Samsung LED 40'' Full HD. The difference in quality is night & day.

Bought one yesterday. sound quality is poor

I bought one of these and am very happy. Good picture and no issues with the 50hz frame rate. I've connected a 500gb external hard drive to it and thats worked perfectly with amazing clarity on high def. Had a full hd 32" Sony before this and the hitachi is better. Sound quality is crap so connected an old pc 5.1 speaker set into the headphone socket and job done. For this money its a good buy. Recommended.

I think when it comes to a tele that your going to be watching for years, its worth spending a little extra for quality.
