Good price but gets some awful reviews.

£15-£30 per disk & enormous file sizes to put anywhere else would put me off completely:

Blu-Ray rewriteable discs can be bought for £6-7 if you Google.

Probably a really daft question (but I will ask anyway)... Given this has HDMI connectivity, does that mean you could attach this to your TV and use it as a Blu Ray player for pre recorded titles? I appreciate standalone players can be had for £100 - £150, but it was just a thought if someone is looking for a video camera and a Blu Ray player...

They can be had for £4 a disc, seem to remember seeing some on HUKD at that price before.

Still dont think blu ray discs are the future for camcorders despite their huge space stil lthink solid state is the future

Depends whether very high compression effects the picture. It usually does.

I still don't get the cold votes.
For me this is still a good deal because its the best part of £200 cheaper than anywhere else and a great deal more than that at other places. £800 at Amazon, £860 at Pixmania, £900+ at some others.

You might not like lager but if it's half price it's hot!
Ho-hum...no pleasing some people.

Voted Hot, Great price (which last time i checked, is what this place was supposed to be all about)
#12
voting this hot as seems to be the best deal out there for this model although i opted for the
Hitach HDD/DVD hybrid camcorder DZHS300E at £146, collecting it this afternoon (argos)

Hey Bully, How did you get it at £146 ?
Thanks,
