Found this deal was £299.99 reserve and collect only. The Hitachi DZHV1074E-U is a highly portable widescreen, high definition SD card camcorder. The included software makes it quick and easy to edit your films.

bargain!, thanks , just reserved one :)

I wouldn't touch small electronics branded as 'Hitachi' as they haven't manufactured anything in this market for years. Chains such as Argos and Comet pay to use the Hitachi brand-name on cheaply manufactured no-name chinese products.

There's a lot more than that around.... leave off the E/U from the model number and you will see other versions commented on; there's quite a bit of footage on Youtube too -
eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhrsX0e9KaQ
shows an ultra-tedious bloke unwrapping an mp3 player indoors with lights on which shows it is not unlike any other cheap camera in that lighting, although not enough footage around to be too certain! :-(

Some GREAT outdoor footage though, looks stunning in bright light, but then again, don't they all :-(

HD for less than £150? If you think something is too good to be true - it usually is.

Any memory with it?

Voted cold because what other people have said, and the fact that I can't find a review - you'd probably be better saving some more if you want a good quality camcorder.

Sorry!

Voted HOT!
Just bought one, works a treat does everything it says on the box, picture quality is great, takes 10megapixel still photos as well as HD video.
Ive not seen anything under £400 to match it. Dont care where it's made or who made it, as long as it does what I want and outlasts the guarantee.
The moral, dont **** it off unless youv'e tried it and dont believe all you read.
