Yes, a good one aswell

So what's the point of HDMI when it's not a HD signal on freeview??
#5
well freeview is digital and hdmi sends a digital signal to a tv that needs a digital signal, whereas if you use scart is converts digital to analgue then back to digital, so hdmi doesnt always mean High Def pictures, but just a good method of sending digital signals.
So less converting shoudl in theory mean a slightly (maybe unnoticable) picture difference.

This seems like a good deal to me - do you know if you can use Scart to connect to your TV if you don't have HDMI?

The reason this set top box has an HDMI socket is because the receiver upscales the signal to 1080i HD. Finding details on this is seems to be somewhat tricky though, the new Argos catalogue says it upscales to 1080i but the Argos website doesn't. I've read the reviews on the Argos website and apparently the upscaled picture isn't all that great. Any of you guys got this hooked up to an HD TV?
