Just so you know, the height and width are in inches.

Excellent. Looks like a better deal than the 80GB one that got very hot today. - twice the price but 4 times the space!

Hopefully, it's compatible with a Wii, or has a standard SATA drive in the enclosure.

@Maxmix, I've searched the John Lewis site and I can't find a 500Gb external drive at £41. There's a 500Gb Seagate one on dabs for £43.99 and free delivery though.

No, just says you get a double head cable as some USB ports can be underpowered. Most modern PCs will be OK with the one port.

If you want £ for gb value, this drive is better[url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2FBuffalo-Juststore-Slimline-Portable-External%2Fdp%2FB003M5N3NQ%2Fref%3Dsr_1_1%3Fie%3DUTF8%26qid%3D1295965447%26sr%3D8-1]

yes i am sure we get the picture now with you spamming it every thread, smaller drives dont tend to offer the best price per gig.
similarly any sub 88quid 1tb drive is better value per gig than the one you posted (there are many) and equally irrelevant.

Just arrived this morning -Box torn and tatty , written on - seal broken in 2 places so clearly not new -also not same model and different colour -red. Apart from that some scratches on item so clearly looks to me as if it has been well used and returned after a while.seems difficult to find out how to return item -not pleased.

Mine arrived this morning in perfect condition.

Tried to dismantle it, but couldn't manage it. It's hell to open, and broke loads of the tabs.

Confirmed as working with the Wii.

I went into JL in Glasgow, last time I was shopping and bought 3 all with the 2 years warranty, plently left etc @ £41 (Deal was on here)... But sold these on because of the double cable needed...

Bought a few of the 500GB WD Passports that were on here a few days back at £40 odd from Amazon... all arrived perfectly they are USB3 and only need the one USB port...

Hi Just wondered if anyone got a instruction manual (not that you really need one) only that the one I received seems to be old and secondhand and box looks very old and well worn -I am sure this is one of their returns and used items - also like previous buyer colour is red and slightly different model -called signature -anyone have same experience?

Mine has a ziplock bag containing a red and grey "Read me first" manual, a folded paper that looks like it is around A3 size, and a twin USB cable.

I have used an old single USB cable with it, and it is working fine on PC and Wii,
the twin cable had remained in the bag until 5 mins ago when I got it out to check.

HI just to inform others mine arrived today -old and when I connect to computer it comes up with other peoples data on it. Nice try Argos ebay - selling second hand items as new.
No instructions at all - very poor indeed - not impressed at all.

Mine arrived on Saturday.............Brand New and im happy enough with it. Looking at the Ebay feedback from others who purchased it, i cannot seem to find a negative?.......all seem happy enough
