    Shortly-unreliable drive. I would avoid.

What makes you say that? Reviews or Evidence? I have one of these and its works flawlessly. Amazon reviews are all 5 star (theres only 5 reviews to be fair).

According to an ebuyer bloke who bought it, its a Hitachi 1TB Travelstar 0J22413 inside. Not sure if you can remove it but youtube videos suggests you can.

My own experience: had 7 laptops given from work, all had Hitachi travelstars, all served less than 14 months, all had HDD failures. Reviews not always reflect real things, never trust too much what they say...

Our failure rate of WD Blue drives in our machines has been shocking and we have 100's, it simply depends on model of HD. I'm more of a Samsung man personally but even they've had issues with firmwares. Every manufacturer has had problems with models of HD (Firmware issues, clicks of death...etc). Theres absolutely no evidence these 1TB drives have any problems (at the moment) but each to their own :)

My hitachi laptop drives have been great for 4 years now and before you say the sectors are healthy. One of the drives i salvaged from work had been badly knocked about when in the laptop and had 100% health

Does that mean we should trust what you say?

Tempted but not sure whether to go for it... would definately buy it if it had ESATA too, as I don't currently have USB3 on my PC or laptop (but I've got ESATA on both). Also put off slightly by the comments about high failure rates.

They're selling out fast though... 109 sold in the last 2 hours 45 mins (about one being sold every 90 seconds). Wonder how many they have left

2 year warrenty is more than most HD manufacturers at the moment. Doesn't help your data but leastyou have some protection. :) Which comments are you referring to (other than Rimi's). Cant find any problems associated with this HD.

Wow. Got mine today already! Purchased initially when it was £10 more last week, but had to send it back because it's faulty. Hope this one works!
