Hitachi XL 1TB External Desktop Hard Drive £49.97 @ Tesco Direct (with code)
Dropped in price today... cheapest for a 1TB drive I think. It is a larger, 3.5" desktop drive so not suitable for those wanting a small portable one, but the large ones are 7200rpm (Google searches seem to confirm this) so faster and work with a greater variety of appliances (e.g. TVs that don't supply power to the USB devices).
To obtain this price, you must use voucher code TDX-RPMW (£10 of £50+ shop, credit to missgem, only available for new accounts / set-up another account to use it).
Blurb:
For all the reasons you want an external hard drive next to your laptop or PC, there are three things you really need. The Hitachi 1TB XL external hard drive has all three. Capacity? This hard drive has a thousand gigabytes of storage space available for 2,000 hours of your videos and games. Usability? Easy to install, the Hitachi 1TB is compatible with Windows XP and higher or Mac 10.3 X or higher. Reliability? It’s robust and dependable as an extra storage facility or back-up location for your content. Comes with a cable for USB 2.0.

If you need 2TB, you probably need a 3TB and it's worth paying the extra for one.
