    This external drive takes an age to spin up and Windows sometimes loses it, requiring me to unplug and plug it back in and wait for a minute or so for it to spin up again.

    My Hitachi 2tb cost me £60 a couple of weeks before they started to go up, so there is no chance I will be paying nearly £53 for 1tb.
    Some people do not mind paying more than they should for these things, I am not one of them. I cannot believe that all who say that these sort of prices are great, do not have some sort of ties to the industry somehow or work for some retailer that is selling them.
