Cant you just pre order the game from Amazon then cancel it when you get the code if you decide you don't want it?

Why pay £2 when you can pre-order the main game from Amazon, receive the sniper challenge code within minutes, then cancel your pre-order, for FREE! :)

    Surely that's illegal? :/

Nope, I did it myself the other day. You're entitled to cancel your order.

Interesting that people would rip a company off rather than shell out £2.

..and by interesting, I actually mean what a dick.

Given that most retailers are giving out this code for free with pre-orders, it seems likely that they receive the codes for free. So HMV charging £2 for the code makes them the dicks...

    True.

It would be alot better to give the codes away for free to customers that want them, along with any purchase...

How's it ripping Amazon off? I don't see it breaking any T&C's. Besides, I've pre-ordered with ShopTo and they haven't emailed me my code.

This is meant to be a free pre-order, no ripping off involved, HMV shouldn't be selling these separately.

Haha at the FOOLS giving this any heat, I posted a similar deal a couple minutes after this one, where-by you can get this for FREE and its getting cold votes.

It bloody says on the case... 'FREE WITH HITMAN ABSOLUTION PREORDERS'. So you guys are giving heat to a deal charging you for something you could get for FREE and my deal showing you a way to get for free is getting downvoted. WOW!

Amazon is not your friend, you owe them nothing.

Many shops are giving codes for pre-orders, its a promo from the devs so don't think it costs them anything

Correct me if I'm wrong :-)

I hate Amazon, but if you can all convince yourselves that this is victimless crime then good luck to you.

Or indeed what the actual crime being committed is.

The box, inlay sleeve, & printed matter showing the code are not free.

It is a wise move on HMV's part to advertise the availability to pre-order the game in-store.

If they deduct the £2 paid for the mini-game from the pre-order price, then they should be applauded for using a different way of marketing.

Of course, their pre-order price may not be the cheapest, but that's another discussion.

PS. A dedicated "Misc" thread: "Hitman Sniper Challenge" (although after the initial day or so after the first availability of the download it has gone quiet).

    BFN,

    fp.
