I believe that you can fit the thermostat in any room, which I'm sure was the point of the helpful first comment.

Is this national? Hot if you can find one.

Got mine before Christmas (with installation). Love it as it looks great, functions well, and integrates with my Amazon Echo!

I don't currently have a thermostat. I just have a plate on the front of my Worcester boiler that lets me do some basic programming and turn it on and off.

How do you know if this is compatible? How easy is it to install?
#16
Can you install the hot water tank version into a boiler that does not use one? Thanks in advance

The latest model due out in 2017 is supposed to work with Apple's HomeKit - something it should have had quite some time ago.

There are two types, combi boiler is a single channel switching just central heating as water is heated on demand. The gravity fed version is dual channel for central heating and hot water.

Yes, I have a combi boiler and bought the heating and hot water version just in case I decide to add a hot water tank at some stage.

Give it a few weeks and you'll have issues.Ive had hive for a while and it's been fine.Imstalled amazon echo and every few days it disconnects.Looked online and many people having the same issue.Removed the echo and it's been perfect again.

I have similar. You just set the current one to always on and they connect to the boiler to control
#27
Typical, I got (and self installed) a netatmo a few days ago. At this price I think I'd have gone for the Hive

Normally John Lewis reduce these if the box has been returned and opened. Normally take around 25% off retail price.

Thank you, that's put my mind at ease. Is there any extra wires for the hot water tank part that would be left disconnected? Sorry to bother you but it would be great help!

Called JL earlier and none in stock and not expected until the 5th also confirmed price was £139 not £99 so looks like it's store specific most likely. Oh well I'll have to walk downstairs to adjust my thermostat for a while longer lol

I have a similar boiler, from what an engineer of the Home Serve team said to me is that you can fit Nest or Hive.
#37
A friend has Hive and he rates it. Of course remember there is the Hive lighting add ons too.

More than Happy with my Nest one which I personally think looks better and has worked with Alexa flawlessly from day one.
#38
Great find easy to fit just the same 6 wires from your programmer not rocket science lol
Some programmers have same base so no wiring to do
Think using this dual channel one for heating only would be possible
But would have to work out internal connections of relays in controller with AVO
As single channel has 2 way switch ie common with 2 poles ,2 channel does not show common connection

I have a Hive and thinking of getting an Echo - so how does the integration function operate, can you say 'Hive - boost water for one hour' and can you ask for the current central heating 'stat setting and actual temperature ? - thanks

I install these. Great bit of kit. Loads of add ons coming this year too. Tempted to get Dot too. Will fit to pretty much any boiler.
