I'd go through Amazon as a preference as I know they will offer a full refund if for some reason it can't be installed.

Good price though

is this better or is Nest's?

This could be in danger of becoming an Apple/Android argument where one's brilliant and the other's rubbish (he, he).
Which is which? I haven't a clue.
This looks a good deal, though. Heat added.

I have Hive. I paid a lot less than this as a British Gas customer. I don't know that Hive has the same smart functionality as Nest. I can do everything remotely but as far as i know the Hive doesn't try and use weather forecasts to predict when to turn the heating on and off and it doesn't learn your comings and goings. Both of which i believe the Nest does.

having researched both I went with Nest. Nest learns and adapts to you behaviour . Nest support is better. Hive support shocking couldn't even tell me if my system was compatible suggested I go to trouble of paying for install and if couldn't install they would refund me ( doubt retailer where bought would be as understanding. whereas Nest was able to tell me straight away. Nest App more intuitive & better supported on Google play . Hive doesn't respond to customer concerns . had Nest 2 weeks and had started to learn our behaviour - get more accurate over time.

Does this do the hot water as well or just the heating version

If you suggest something, perhaps you could also share a link to whatever it is that you are suggesting?
Just a suggestion...

Does anyone know if these can be used with a wet water system in my house? All electric, no gas in the property. Heating normal radiators but run by electric. We're on a economy 10 meter. Any views or help appreciated

It's equally not that difficult to add a link if you suggest something to others. Why do a half-assed job?

Might be a stupid question here - but what behaviour is it learning? Assuming we're talking about a thermostat here, I just use my Hive to turn heating on/off from my phone. It's a genuine question though as about to move house to somewhere with no Hive so will be getting one or the other.

Most pointless argument of the day. It's not a job, it's a forum for deals.
