Cold. Why would you wanna spend a tenner on such rubbish?
#10
I see they don't have any helicopters or suitable patrol vehicles, at least little Johnny will know what he's letting himself in for when he grows up and fulfils his ambition.

Perhaps if all the money wasn't spent on benefits and social housing there would be a bit more to go around to far more deserving causes.

Someone said 'more deserving causes' and I suggested education - no fence-sitting.

More informed populace = less wars/soldiers.

You forgot to mention all the immigrants and asylum seekers :whistling:

As with all things in life, everything in moderation.

Anyway, to get back to the figures, from what i've seen in the shops they appear to be of a reasonable quality.

I would disagree. More of the population would just understand the real reasons behind conflicts.....instead of the reasons given to them. The wars would still continue.
#23
Long may theykeep making toys like this, just to annoy the lettuce munching lefty pinkos!!!!
#24
I got one of these last time they were on offer. It was the SAS version and the postman threw it through the window

Do these come with the scar on the cheek and the hair like carpet?

It's only authentic if it then "wrote" a book about it.

Hotted.

I disagree. There are plenty around who work very hard to earn a living legally and pay all their dues. There are immigrants who don't exactly help the situation, but don't put them all in the same bag.

More smart people might mean less people joining the army though.

Brilliant!!

So Are these just like the old Action Men of my youth day??

Also as a comment yeah WARs are better avoided but Soldiers do an important Job for the country
on all levels from defence and especial if there is a national emergency like floodings etc.
Its just people do need more education too so they can bring back the concept of chivalry - but that apply to the whole population too from the government down to us.
Anyway its easy for us to ignore the fact we live in ivory castles etc
anyhowizta Band of Brothers anyone;-)

I live in Dalston where there are a high number of "neets" theyve opened an army showroom to get these young ppl to join up. I notice these showrooms dont exist in areas of highly educated populace. So the forces seem to agree.

What more deserving causes should 'all the money' be spent on? How does this tie in with an action figure toy or even military spending?

Most importantly, does it have "eagle eyes" and real gripping hands?

You're right, LaylaLayla. And the Army shop in Dalston isn't there to recruit young men and women for an army career (which has the potential to be interesting and rewarding) but as cannon fodder. Also a lot of good work by Hackney's youth workers and the police, to discourage kids from glamorizing guns, is being undone by the Army shop in Dalston, which gives the kids warfare-based games to play with. (There is a lot more to HM Armed Forces than being an infantryman but, as I said, they just want Hackney's kids for cannon fodder).

As for the toy soldiers ... if they stuck light blue helmets on a couple of them (and had them holding hands) I might be interested in buying a few!:friends:

No, these are not "real" action men. They stopped doing soldiers ages ago.

What a stupid comment to make, i wont mention my own education or the letters after my name ;) oh and before, and i still "joined up"!
Remember that sitting on the fence, i mentioned earlier.....if no "thickos" sign up, are you all for bringing back involuntary service? You probably are, knowing your too old to be eligible, so carry on sprouting off :)

I tend to find more intelligent people see the ideology behind 'war' and being a soldier as being somewhat suspect.

Better educate people and maybe they won't cling to things like 'patriotism' whilst they're being lied to.

I beleive you can buy actual french wwii army rifles cheaper..never fired, and dropped only once!

Those who consider themselves more intelligent than they actually are often have this view. Those who have real intelligence see war as a natural consequence of human nature and also recognise the need to prepare for it.

Lets hope there aren't too many people like you about. Some of us believe in a peaceful existance.

I agree with F&F mostly though, once the real reasons for a war are known support for it goes down, unfortunately its usually too late by then.
