Huge selection of decent titles such as Transformers and many others very good deal imo.

Going to boost my BD collection a little it seems!

Amazon and play are doing 3 for 2.
Transformers, Cloverfield, Nightmare before xmas and other titles are £15.98 or less. Basically getting 3 for £31.96.
#8
its 2 for £25 online or 2 for £30 instore, not 3 for 2
#9
I just ordered
Bee Movie, Resident Evil and Dark city for £29.97 from play
Bargain!

seems like nobody's sure if it's genuine or not though.

Bah, deals are always about a fiver cheaper online than they are instore for HMV. My girlfriend bought me Nightmare Before Christmas and Pans Labyrinth with this deal for £30, but they're going back so i can buy 3 for 30 from Play or Amazon.

Thats what I was saying. They were just examples

Yep, Amazon and Play have upped their game. When i first posted this deal they had a limited selection of Blu Rays in their 3 For 2 deal. Now they seem to have added some new ones.

But still there are some titles that amazon doesn't have on offer which HMV does such as Zodiac, The Shawshank Redemption, The Lost Boys, Son Of Rambow, Interview With The Vampire, This Is England and Sweeney Todd. These are big names. And theres bound to be others as Amazon has 293 titles on offer compared to HMV's 378. It seems to me that both Amazon and Play haven't got quite as much newly released Blu Rays as part of their offer. I guess it depends on which titles you want.

To be a hot deal it should be at least 2 for £20.

If you look around at other sites and offers you can get some good deals on newer stuff.

Got Mamma Mia for £12.50 using vouchers at LoveFilm, also The Dark Knight for under £14, The Hulk for £13 and Iron Man for £15.

I see that Rambo is £17.99 however Zavvi are selling it for under £10.

There might be a couple of good offers, but keep looking around, we are in a recession retailers are gonna be cutting prices like mad in the run up to christmas and the new years sales.

exactly right.

it may not be the deal of the century in general, but if someone's after say - Zodiac and There Will Be Blood, is there anywhere cheaper? No. So therefore it's a hot deal for those people.

so you criticised his choice of examples, but then state that you bagged the same titles as Batman2, which included Mamma Mia.....:?

theres somewhere cheaper for Zodiac and TWBB? if so, do tell...

I'll say this, your a brave person to call The Shawshank Redemption poo and yet admit to buying 'The Hulk' and 'Mamma Mia'!!!

Furthermore these are new films because they are 'new' to Blu Ray. The only way this isn't a good deal is if you can find all the titles in the HMV deal for under £12.50 each. If you can't then this is a deal. Maybe not a bargain but a good price nonetheless.
