I can confirm that.

Sounds great and maybe you can get some cash from cex for the remote

Why can I never find these Sky things myself?
#5
While this deal may be store specific I think it will be worth checking your local HMVs regularly as more and more of these low price deals keep popping up. with all the bad news surrounding HMV they might be the next Woolworths :(

I only used it for the football, and it was mostly fine. Didn't use it for On Demand stuff though.

I know! It's crap isn't it. If you lose your position in a film it doesn't even have a scrub bar unless you've got a Kinect so you might be doing the truly awful forward wind for 15 minutes to get 30 minutes forward. I bought the remote because I thought it would add functionality to Sky player... does it fu...

It's alright with DVDs and provides shortcuts to stuff you can already do with the xbox pad. If you've got a media PC then it's good for that. Anyway, for this price it's buy, buy, buy just for the 3 months. And there are often people who want to buy the Sky code so you can just flog that on.

i'll let you know what i can get.... can you tell me what i would do with the skycard?

I thought I asked first!

The skycard allows you to watch sky sports and 11 channels on your xbox and pc. You have to sign up at http://www.skyplayer.com and then link your pc. Quality is generally ok (more than watchable) though depends on yoru broadband speed. If you have sky, you do not need this. Card works until end Sep 2011.

They thought this was to be the next big thing but never really took off. There is rumour that this may be relaunched but given the poor sales unlikely....

when i stop watching a film i just press resume and its in exactly the same spot I left it? I assume you mean you left it running or something and want to skip back? That can be annoying i agree as it buffers and doesn't seem to actually rewind fast forward!

Good riddance! HMV is a terrible store with a piffling amount of stock and choice, unless you listen to X-Factor music you're out of luck.

If you watch tv or films from a USB stick on the 360 the remote is a great bit of kit. Lights up too which is handy.
