A good delivered price for this halloween type film!
Any film that you see as a kid will almost always never stay with you when you enter into adulthood. However, every so often a film pops into your head, you think back to when you first seen that film and you realise that, some films never really leave your memory. Hocus Pocus is my childhood to adulthood film. I remember every line of hilarious dialogue (I quoted it endlessly with my sister), I remember every characters face (I had a crush on the lead guy), and I remember that I loved every second of this film. And here is why; A trio of modern kids in Salem accidentally revive three evil witch sisters, hanged 300 years ago, on Halloween, and must then find a way to destroy them before they can become immortal.
This is a surprisingly black comedy, given it's from Disney. Bette Midler enjoys herself being evil as the lead witch, and gets to perform a memorable version of "I Put a Spell on You" at the local Halloween ball. Sarah Jessica parker may actually be even better, as her ditzy witch character seems more lovable, until the evil peeks through more shockingly. There's music, special effects, and magic! If you are looking for a film to laugh all the way through or something to watch with the kids, I suggest you pick up a copy of Hocus Pocus. You won't regret it! It'll keep the kiddies attention over and over again. This is good clean fun, a great film to treat the kids to at Halloweenand the rest of the year round...I love it!
