The adventure/court-room DS game 'Ace Attorney Investigations' is being sold in-store by Morrisons for fifteen quid. Not bad, and it's the cheapest price I can find on or offline.

(couldn't help it either)
Is this one of the newest ones?, I have played so many different versions of this game I can't keep track.

It's not part of the Phoenix Wright series (that ended with Trials and Tribulation). This version is you could say, the "newest" but it's gameplay elements are different as you are inspecting crime scenes rather than doing cross examinations in court. I enjoyed the game but it's not topped the last of trilogy of the PW games for me.
5 games,

1 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (2005)
2 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All (2006)
3 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations (2007)
4 Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (2008)
5 Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (2010)
I like this more than Phoenix Wright - good find!
It's a damn good game. There's still plenty of to and fro banter when you cross-examine someone, just not in the courtroom. As for Apollo Justice, I didn't like it. They tried to introduce a new character, but still kept Phoenix Wright around, this time as an incredible smug 'mentor'.

The ace attorney games are some of the finest on earth. The dialogue is phenomenal and they are probably the only games that genuinely make me laugh at loud constantly. :D
