Check out http://www.etaphotel.com/gb/home/index.shtml if you want a budget version. 5 mins walk from that hotel and £32 per night. No brekkie but plenty of places around for £5 ish. Admit holiday inn is probably nicer but if trying to save money this is a good option.

Loads of holiday inns are £50 per room per night, or even less

This one in Southampton is actually a recently opened new build. Although i've not been in there would expect it to be of a very good standard.

Eeek or you could save the money and not visit the place at all - much better money saving tip! ;) A place with no redeeming qualities what-so-ever!

I agree, not the most exciting place - however there is an airport nearby that someone might want to travel from - or it's well located for many nearby areas like the New Forest, not far from Bournemouth or Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight, etc, etc. Anyway, I posted the deal in case anyone might be interested - if you aren't just ignore the post lol.

You'd have to pay me £50 to visit Southampton.
