Posted one of these a few weeks ago but this new one appears to be a better deal.

I understand that this isnt for everyone but again this is for a family on a tight budget that want a cheap foreign holiday.

So accomodation - Eurocamp "El Delfin Verde" site for 7 nights starting 12th May staying in a 2 bedroom classic mobile home. Total cost of accomodation £86

Flights - Ryanair from Birmingham (others available) to gerona (35miles from the site) 12th may returning on 19th May - £3 per person - Now to get this price you will need to take hand luggage only (they are quite generous 10kg), book with pre paid mastercard (easy to get hold of) and check in online (This is free if your getting the discounted rate)

£86 accom so £21.50 each
£3 flight each way

TOTAL £27.50 per person
Now you will notice that this doesnt include transfers - you can get busses (loads of info online) or hire a car for about £100 per week or get a taxi.

I have no idea how you can fully relax in a tent/mobile home while on holiday and a weeks worth of clothes will come to more than 10kg...

I have explained how to get the flight for £3 it is not imposible (im glad there are people like you that pay more though as it keeps the price down for those that like a deal)

You take your luggage in your hand luggage case (free 10kg) obviously if your the sort of person that needs 10 pairs of shoes 6 dresses 18 handbags and 40 pairs of pants then this holiday probably isnt for you but if your want a relaxing 7 days next to the pool then it can be done.

It's common sense for most of us now to travel light & buy toiletries etc when we get out there but there is always one that just has to overpack

If i was to book a £3 flight im assuming i have to pay £5 admin charge and some sort of tax also as i notice there is a no tax option that is more expensive. Sorry never done this before

there is no admin charge or tax on the £3 flights - it really is just £3

try doing a dummy run now and you will see that taxes is £0 and online checkin charge is £0 as long as you pay with a pre paid mastercard and dont add hold luggage it will stay at just £3

Plus £65 for the hire of linen and beach towels, as they aren't included in the holiday hire price!
#16
this is the second time ive taken advantage of cheap flights from ryanair,am off to Ibiza in 3 weeks time,my flights cost £12.00 each return,10kg of hand luggage is ample for a beach holiday...remember your hand luggage must be no more than 55 x40 x20 cms in dimension or you will be charged £30.00.....

if you are applying for a new pre pay card, might be worthwhile checking Quidco out first as they used to give cashback on certain pre pay cards

heat added

Great deal. Been on loads of these type of holidays and the mobile homes are much better than they used to be. As for 10kg not being enough, try washing your clothes. Heat added.
#18
Don't forget to add the £1 a time toilet charge which Ryanair is introducing on all short haul flights.

Hope nobody's got upset tum or weak bladder lol

If he cant get you home because of natural disasters, go and take a run and jump for compensation because all he will give you back is the price of the Ticket.
#19
Oh good price! I want a cheap holiday :(
#20
Hand luggage only. What you going to do, stroll around in a thong all day!

The price of the accomodation is excellent though.
#21
10Kg really is a lot, I'm cycling to Wales this summer and shall be carrying just under that including a tent and sleeping bag! What do you really need, that can't be had cheaper out there anyway?

Might I just add, not trying to be a killjoy because it is a really good deal, but it is really chilly in the Costa Brava until late June. I have done it a couple of times and goose bumped in the most sheltered corner by the pool. Last time I went in May it was overcast and poured for 4 days. IMHO take a cagoule and a warm jumper

just checked gerona on http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-Gerona-SPXX0038 and its saying 22 / 23 degrees for the end of April. I would say that was reasonable.

How many jumpers and coats you taking you wally!!! :-D

It's a summer holiday, few t-shirts, couple of pairs of shorts, smalls....bobs your uncle.

Another great spot SBFC.

BTW: If anyone needs one, Ikea do a great cabin bag for about £8.80 that just fits Ryanair's size parameters.

Why not just wear all the heavy clothes to get on the plane? All the light stuff goes in the bag. All your heavy stuff goes in your pockets too, so if taking a jacket...

After all, they dont charge moderately fat gits extra for their extra 10-20kg bodyweight

Youll see me-I'm the guy who looks like the michelin man at the airport :prop:

Good choice - mine arrived after 4 days. Hope you went through quidco

Good price for a holiday but not very 'family friendly' as it isn't during the school holidays!
#31
What an absolutely fantastic deal!!!

I just want to say here, that it is very typical of HotUKDeals nowadays, that a REAL deal like this, is under 200degrees after 12 hours, but bra deals get to ridiculous amounts, just because Sun/Mail reader men leer all over the photos. HUKD needs to sort this out.

Heat and REP added :)
#32
Is this only in May again?
