I just wish someone would find a cheap holiday flying from Birmingham!! its always from luton, Gatwick or stanstead!!!
Snap !! Us Midlanders never get good flights from Bham
Agree! Rarely anything from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Newcastle. We are equidistant from all three.

Play around with dates

Sir Charles
I'm going to Lindos in May, my first visit there for 10 years. Hope its still as nice as it was back then.
Lindos doesn't change much. It can't due to the strict building laws in that protected area. (Word Heritage) They have curfew laws now on late night music, but that's about it.
Many restaurants have upped their game and look a bit more sophisticated, which is a shame in my book as they're loosing the original Greek feel.
been there in lindos last year lovely , nothing change people still getting married there :)
joedredd
Coralli's is a really great restaurant run by very friendly people Tsambika and her husband Yannis.
I have a house nearby and had one of our wedding celebrations there - a big feast with spit roast, dancing, fire, smashing - the full Greek works.
This is unbelievably good value for money - I'm sad it's so cheap in all honesty.

They go far out of their way to help everyone have a great time. Also this year Billy (waiter) is back, he was always a hit with the visitors. See the Friends of Corallis FB group to see how many people love it there.https://www.facebook.com/groups/96738087981/?fref=ts
It's smack on the sea front and the apartments are of a good standard. With regards the paths and rubble etc - this IS Greece. That's what it's like all over. Do note; it can be a good 15mins walk back into Pefkos along a road which isn't great at night. That's the only negative I can offer.
They're constantly investing in the place, last year saw some huge palm trees added to the front, previous year some really nice exclusive poolside private dining areas, before that - water features etc.
If you want a cheap Greek holiday in the sun with superb food and somewhere to chill in the day you can't go wrong IMHO.
[edit] - Also they open earlier than most places, it's possible Pefkos might not be awake mid April. I actually prefer it out of season, nice and quiet and no bloody tourists clogging up the roads. :p
- Well I know them too , very nice people despite the fact that chef been change and there is no more that great food being served you can find few good places to eat out there so not that bad on the end.

Voted hot. Great holiday destination and good price. Personally I prefer slumming it in a cheap riad in the old town (Jemaa el-fnaa) so you can get a real feel for Maroc. If you go with the nice hotel you might as well be in a warm part of England.
Anyone who says it's dangerous need a to get their nose out of the Daily Mail and look at the world around them.
Anywhere in particular you would recommend me staying with a baby. Thanks

The old town would be great for day visits, and during the evenings they have lights and music good for older children, but I think to stay overnight would only be suitable with older children. The hustle and bustle doesn't stop till about 1am I find.

I'd look at one of the hotels on the outskirts, I'm not familar with them though as I've always roughed it in one of the £3 pppn riads (basic, but clean and a comfy bed).

I'd watch out for the tours or 'excursions' too. Marrakech is basically in a bowl surrounded by the Atlas mountains. If you want to get anywhere it's a 3 hour drive through winding roads that may be unsuitable for children.

Anyone thinking of going must be plain stupid:https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/morocco/terrorism
Is a cheap holiday really worth the risk? Giving in to terrorism, if it keeps me alive then yes.
Have you checked the threat level in the UK is set to "Severe" so you are more likely to be safe in Morocco which just has a "high" level of threat. Makes you wonder who conjures up these "Def Con" levels, Con being the operative word here. lol

Yep we are saying the same thing Simon, so much misinformation out there. Australia reckons there is no "Severe" threat in the UK and our Govt thinks there is. Keep searching you may find a different narrative on the American Govt website.
From the foreign office website:

The threat to the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) from international terrorism is severe.

Guess you had better follow the advice and leave the country simont

Is a hotel included with this?

Thankyou
''Occasional Turkish nights'' - well that's a bonus

Probably safe in Marmaris but why take the risk? You only get one life.
Club Candan is a decent hotel however its a good couple of streets away from the main stuff, don't believe the maps you see, its a good 20 min walk and down some narrow and busy side streets, the hotel is usually full of adult getting drunk and leaving their kids to run riot, all day and all NIGHT - literally! The outside bars gopod and the pools are great but the behaviour and lack of supervision by drunken parents means I will never go back there, pity cos then hotels nice and the employees are ace....
Do they do day trips to Syria? Cold from me.
There will be lots of 'fantastic prices' to come for holidays in muslim countries. Mad to risk it in the current climate.

You'd most likely pay as much as this just for the flights, so a great deal if you want to get to Corfu from the South West. Who says you have to stay in the allocated accommodation!
Went there years ago and was an absolute s*** hole then, for what it's worth. Doesn't mean it is now of course but it's certainly somewhere I wouldn't go back to in a hurry. Even the locals called it kakos.
It's really funny reading some of these comments. We went there in the second week of September a couple of years back. Stayed at Olive Grove Trees Apartments at the end of the strip, far enough away from the clubs to be able to sleep at night. Self catering, £111 per person for 7 nights, including flights and transfers. We're in our 50s and had a great time.

There are at least three medical centres on the main strip. A lot of places were starting to close down and run out of things, as the kids had gone back to school the week before, but it was a really cheap and fun holiday. Loads of bargains on rude T-shirts and things like that, as they were keen to get rid of them before the end of the season. They actually have a couple of decent restaurants in Kavos, although admittedly most of the places are serving British food. We bought a cheap 16 pack of cans of lager and sat out on the verandah watching the world go by most evenings. The Greeks were great hosts, we even enjoyed it more than our brilliant holiday in Marmaris a few years back.

This deal is even better VFM than ours if it includes breakfast.
Kavos is wild for those with a young heart...just be careful if you go. Its a long way to decent medical care and whilst I was there (5 years ago) there were several casualties and at least 2 fatalities...In one week!
Went there years ago, it was like a shanty town with a couple of clubs.

I think 'disgusting hellhole' is pretty wrong of the daily mail, but would put a holiday into perspective when these people have nothing
I think what the mail might be saying, is that you dont want to go a beautiful place, and have it spoil by this.
But i want to know, what has made these people actually leave there homes? Was they really being persecuted, or was it that they seek a better life, with more money, health etc? The later comes to mind
They bypassed Turkey to get to Europe so, what do you think?
Expect more countries to be bypassed until they get to the UK.
but dont other eu countries have the similar attractions to migrants as the uk?
We have the highest welfare spending in the whole of the EU. Welfare spending by central government is double that of germany and double that of Sweden, which is normally thought of as the most loony country in the EU when it comes to spending, but Sweden is not the stupid one. In addition we have the free and great NHS paid for by the taxpayer which is also known as the International Health Service.
Why do you think we have some of the highest immigration figures in the EU. Do you think they come here for the weather?
I understand what your saying, abd there are benefits and welfare in other eu countries. Also illegal immigrants get deported, and are not entitled to these benefits, as a general rule. Only in medical emergency.
I have solution anyway. We put them in a concentration camp. Make them work for free for a whole year, laying roads
As I explained, our welfare spending is the most generous in Europe and is double that of Germany and Sweden but you have chosen to ignore that and make jokes. Anyway, they will claim asylum even though they bypassed Turkey to get to europe. So they will be entitled to free housing, free benefits, free education, NHS, etc all paid for by the taxpayer. Expect this to be paid for by tax rises in the coming years as happened before.
But my understand for claiming asylum, is to land at first safe place. This isn't obviously Britain. This why the people of Britain are some what skeptical about the whole eu (showen in the general election), and the ethos of some eu countries thinking. In let's passing them over to our tiny land.
I am totally in favor for safety of people, against human trafficking from war torn lands. The fact remains, that you haft to cross a whole load of countries before you reach out shores!!!
No wonder Mr Farage done so well, even thou the electorate voting system, is some what broke in out country. Showing in the amount of mp's they got for the amount of votes, in comparison to snp.

All comments above absolutely bang on, amazing. Thought we were getting snobby but sounds like we're not in the minority!
Would of snapped this up, but got work commitments. Did Cuba about 5yr ago and would defo go back. And yes A hotel full of Canadians- FFS! Taking full advantage of all inclusive. Piling up a plate in the restaurant, taking a couple of mouthfuls and leaving the rest. Walking round with there flasks all day drinking (which I know most of us do on holiday) but being a total pain in the **** about it. You would think they had never had a drink before. "Yeah spring break lets act like a dick" but all in all I personally wouldn't let this put me off returning, but I would assume for most it would.
This is too funny, my partner and I thought we were the only ones who found the Canadians holidaying in Cuba loud, very annoying but highly entertaining with their whooping and Canada speedos! Must look out for the bunting!!! We went for a week and was plenty time for us, but a fortnight would be better.
Grohller
Canadians are just as bad as Americans, whoop whooping at the top of their voices in the bars... nack off elsewhere would ya? :-)

Did you notice that they all seem tothe have some sort of complex too, they all, and I mean all (at least where we stay when we visit cuba) have to display the fact they are from Canada.
Canada flags, Canada Tshirts, Canada Speedos / Shorts, Canada Socks, towels, baseball caps... you get the idea. To our disbelief some of them had even taken Canada bunting to hang on their balcony.
If you haven't noticed previously, next time you will!

:D

There's a reason Tunisia holidays are cheap. Is a cheap holiday really worth risking the safety of your family and yourself for?
There's risk everywhere.
Would you post this on a london bus offer or a holiday to new york?
Seems there is risk everywhere but Tunisia is one of the riskiest on the planet at the moment. Not worth it for a cheap holiday :-(
I take it all back, do not go there your lives are worth more than a holiday!
Respect to you sir..at least you had the dignity to come on here after saying it's safe, to apologise for potentially sending those who took your words at face value and went to Tunisia, to possibly their deaths.
Shame on all those who said it was safe.
Yes..everywhere has unsafe areas and yes, many people have managed to go to Tunisia and return unharmed. But as someone would has been to Tunisia..I know full well what it's like..outside the hotels it doesn't feel safe and you'd have to be pretty nieve to think you're welcome over there.
No muslim country wants westerners on their soil..end of. You can kid yourself all you like but the reality is clear to see.
What about turkey. It's a Muslim country and they are super friendly.
Antalya is a beautiful place to visit.

Dya know what....I wouldn't visit Turkey at the moment, not at all. I wouldn't visit ANY muslim country and I certainly wouldn't recommend any else to either.

how very thoughtful of you, its also a no go from Hull or Humberside airport, also for cruises too we just drove down to Southampton to get the ship boy it takes the shine off Not so much when ye go but homeward journey. wont do it again
Expensive for rest of country. Last time I went to Crete, booked flights through RyanAir and booked a cheap/decent directly using Trivago and Tripadvisor as guides.

Nice Depart time on the return though ;) You can make full use of your last day. Our flight was at 1pm :(
Scotland a nightmare too lol x
Thanks OP! Glad to finally have some flights from Newcastle :)
Yes. It's not fair. Can somebody please sort this out. Heat from me.

Heard some dodgy things about animal testing in Mauritius though
don't think dodgy monkey testing is going to affect your stay there.

Well of course it does, because that's a factor for many people when they decide where to go on holiday. If the government of the country is making dodgy, unethical deals, why should I give them my money?

bit strange though how its stuffed full of muslims hindus christians and more yet they all get on with eachother and havent been killing eachother for a few thousand years. think the rest of the world should model itself on mairitius.

My parents are from mauritius, and everytime i go back i wonder the same thing - how everyone just gets on together regardless of background.

Pretty awesome.
Great price, went last year december (paid around 1350 each for two weeks), it was awesome!
Highly tempted to have the kids bunk school for this (I wish!), looks amazing

Dunno if you can compare a 3 person holiday to a 2 person. I've seen fantastic holidays for 4 people sharing on this sight since forever, at lower prices. Unfortunately I don't like to share a room with anyone but my partner.
Edit: However excellent price. Probably should post it for others

any deals for Kenyan safaris
heat added ..
What caught my eye on this deal were the words steal, and Dominican Republic. We worked there years ago and used to say, if you have gold fillings, sleep with your mouth closed. I can also confirm abigsmurfs comment, we tested the tap water at the time and discovered organisms that are only found in human feces. We never ate out just before the weekends, if we were going to be ill, it would be on Company time.
Having said that, we did have some good times.
Might be worth pointing out that they don't have the same laid back attitude of the English speaking Caribbean Islands, more of a Latin temperament, quite different. Rum's cheap though.
