Cheers. both sound good value

If you goto the price matcher on www.myprotein.co.uk and enter www.bulkpowders.co.uk you can get your whey even cheaper.

Or you could goto www.bulkpowders.co.uk that has good prices on here but keeps gettting deleted when I post deals on HUKD.

Whey is whey and the protein is good but for some reason it gives a lot of people wind. If you pay more, you are paying for the label and flavour. I personally would pay more and get a better Flavour.

Something like this http://www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk/all-stars-whey-plex---227kg-2548-p.asp or http://www.discount-supplements.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=7145 or http://www.discount-supplements.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=6690 is much tastier and a better brands. Also, pound for pound, they are cheaper!

H&B Whey = 18.16 x 50 gram serving @ £12.50 per 908g container = 68p per serving
All Stars = 45 x 50g gram serving @ £28.99 per 2.25kg container = 64p per serving
Dynmatize = 45 x 50g gram serving @ £28.99 per 2.25kg container = 64p per serving
InterActive = = 45 x 50g gram serving @ £26.99 per 2.25kg container = 60p per serving

This is the outfit behind the Body Fortress powders

http://www.optimumnutrition.com/products/

When H&B half-price their protein powders (i.e. every couple of months) it costs the same as myprotein and is about as good or as bad, depending upon your taste.

dont worry bout the taste, just neck it !

It's the gulping down that gives you wind. Sip it or you'll be farting protein all day. :oops:

depends what you buy mate, progain is cheaper and comes in bigger pots.....

bit of advice, dont buy the "extreme" as it tastes so so horrible....
just buy the normal one

Only tried the strawberry flavour of this but it tastes fine to me, mixed with fruit or just water. 72% too if IIRC.

Might give the myprotein recommendations a try though.

This is not for real men, we snort chicken and use powered egg suppositories.

The protien I bought from Argos is good for me. Vanilla tastes good.
Paid £7.50 for 2*908 grams.

Looking in that price range

So you're actually saying that all whey protein is the same and the more expensive stuff is no better, just you are pating for the brand?!
#32
In a word yes. Most whey is made in the same daires. Some in New Zealand too. Unless you start getting the peptides and blended protein powders, you won't notice a difference. Even if you did, unless you are top of the bodybuilding game, you won't notice a thing.

This may be 72% protein and you can get others that maybe be 80% protein. That means if you eat two servings in a day and have 100g, that means you get 72g of protein as opposed to 80g of protein. Will you notice 8g of protein in a day? Not a chance.

so expensive protein only tastes better ?

It may have a little few extra's spores to help aid digestion but at the end of the day, whey contains the same branch chain amino acids as each other if its from the same source, which they are.

Usually the quality of the blending ingridients, the flavourings and emulsifiers (to make the whey thick like a proper shake) make up the difference in cost but in terms of the growth in muscle, no difference.

I find this stuff tastes fairly nasty in comparison (its bareable) and since I do BBing seriously, I like to enjoy it, rather than think here comes another shake (holding of noses) GULP...

Myprotein is the closest you'll get to that - £10 for 1 kilo.

This one by Optimum Health seemed a bargain to me after seeing it recommended on HUKD previously. I've got the strawberry and it's the tastiest protein shake I've had so far, compared against H&B and Argos (not sterling competition I know, but still). £23.99 for 2.25 Kg.

Incidentally if you buy two Boditronics Whey shakes (miles miles nicer than H&B) and call Bodybuilding Warehouse on 0161 236 1588, ask them to match Muscle Finesses Mega Tuesday deal (they will do it any day of the week) which is £55 les 10% so £49.50 for 2 x 5lb tubs. They are reknown for their taste (just look at the flavours, see HERE!).

Boditronics is the best whey Ive ever had. Currently running Impact Whey Banana from myprotein which is love for 12 quid a kilo. Boditronics new Choc Mint is supposed to be well nice

If you think about it, you are paying more for you whey thro MP - £49.50 for 4.5kg of Boditronics or £54 for the same amount from MP and with MP you pay £4 PNP on top...
