Bought this last week from home bargains in Redditch, after a weeks use it will cut through anything with ease and gives you confidence for finer cuts, it's a knife and yes it is sharp .
Just checked their website and they are not showing any JML products
Linky no working dawg yo yo!
Got one before at this price. Binned it after a week. They are awful knives. The way the blade is serrated and jagged makes it easy to cut yourself.
All my other knives are global, I'm used to sharp but these are dangerous in my opinion.

£1.99 in Eastleigh today, still a bargain though
BETTY BOOP
These seem to be regular products local to me (Liverpool) and have been for several months. They are usually by hairbrushes, shampoo, clips etc. Fab price....heat added
Same for me too. My 2 nearest stores always seem to have them in the area you've mentioned. Having bought 2 of the 'Original Tangle Teasers' before I bought 1 of these to try it out. There is NO DIFFERENCE in the result/effort at all between these and the 'Original' - with the exception that you save ALOT of money (I was gutted afterwards lol!). I paid £1.99 for mine though? Voted HOT btw!
£1.99 in the 2 stores in Crewe?

Found a few bottles locally and hope I'll be able to find a few more before they disappear from the shelves. The Extra Fiery is how I remember Old Jamaica used to taste. Every other brand on the market, including the usual Old Jamaica, is just a pale imitation. This one really bites.
Have since checked two other local Home Bargains stores and was available in both as well - so should be nationwide.

Brilliant price! Could of done with one of these when I went to Amsterdam :)
I bought one for a weekend in Amsterdam last month. Was perfect. Light, held lots and seems strong enough.
OP - Instore only? Was hoping to pick one up for the gf and couldn't see it on the website.

There's a link to it in the original thread

I don't think this has ever gone out of stock at my local Home Bargains. Do people not carry it loaded by the top handle a lot? Mine started tearing after not a lot of use, specifically the fabric that separates the main pocket from the secondary pocket. I think it's linked to carrying by the top handle. I've tried sewing it up with denim from an old pair of jeans to patch and reinforce but I don't know if it will last or if I can recommend this bag.

I'm not sure how much I've used it but not much more than 4 weekend trips and a few one nighters.

great deal
I used one of these 3 years ago prior to the syringes you get free now, the dummy is filled with the medicine and you push a little button in slowly and it pushes the medicine through the end if the teet. There is no sucking of it slowly, the adult administers the dose in one go until it's empty. Don't get me wrong the syringes now are great but give me the choice of a spoon or one of these when dealing with a baby (baby not child!) I would take one of these any day- far less chance of spillage or missing!
robinh112
gemma280563
Obviously once filled they suck on the dummy for as long as the medicine is in there and then suck on thin air once gone. Not suck a brilliant idea when you consider all the parents that just shove a dummy in a kids mouth and others that give kids medicine for no reason. I knew a Mum who let her kids take their own medicine straight from the fridge when they wanted it! Also for older kids who still have dummies and may still be having medicine in the dummy the danger it is doing to their teeth with the prolonged contact. Is it really that hard to give medicine in one shot?

Well said Gemma.. was £5.99 until no sensible person bought it now its 79p at Home Bargains hahahaha

Well obviously any good parent would use these very carefully and responsibly haha I personally found these fab for my little one with his antibiotics, I felt it was just cruel force feeding him it until I found these!

Fab deal! :)
the syringes that you get with calpol / nurofen etc are by far the easiest method. I tried this dummy and it was useless the cap that held the medicine in place never used to close properly and it ended up leaking everywhere before your child had even sucked the dummy!!

Total weight of the 4 bars 35g?
If so then poor value.

These bars are 35g to 40g each. Total weight 140g - 160g.

They are not minis, and aren't full size either. Somewhere in between as you would expect from most multipacks that give you varied sizes:)

So just to clarify, are these good or bad?? Heathy or naughty??
As for parsnips :-0 gutted I love them,
Parsnips are fine. Glycemic load goes from 0 - 10 = low, 10 = 20 = moderate, 20+ and you're starting a journey to Sugartown. Parsnips have a glycemic load of 12 which means get them down you and don't worry.

Glycemic load looks at the amount of carbohydrate in something per portion and its glycemic index. So just for the sake of example imagine you had something like a ball of candyfloss that was 1 metre across but was only made from 1 teaspoon of glucose. The glycemic index would be 100 because it's pure glucose but because there's only really a small amount of available sugar, say 1tsp = 4 grammes the glycemic load would be 4 which is low (Load = Gi * grammes per serviing / 100). And it's the same for these rice crackers because they're almost all air.

And unless you've got celiac disease then gluten isn't of any concern for you. It's like worrying about protein or having nitrogen in the air you breathe. Gluten free is nonsense unless you've got a condition that makes it genuinely perforate your gut.

Edited By: Duelling Duck on Jan 21, 2015 23:56: cos I'm a boss
if you love cardboard you will love these.mmmmmm.......
My grandmother ate a lot of these and she died. I appreciate what your saying with your nurtrient science and stuff but I'm talking cold hard facts. Maybe if she didn't take your advice she'd be with us today. Thanks.
Can i just clarify, in case people are terrified from some of these comments....YOU WONT DIE IF YOU EAT THESE!! haha
slimmyfan1
hiswife
The comments on here sound a bit technical for me!! Are they 'bad' for you...nope...are they healthier than shovelling a whole load of chocolate, crisps, fried food down your throat...yes...but life is about moderation is it not?

They can be bad for you as a result of the Glycaemic load, which can lead to Insulin Resistance (Diabetes, anyone), which can cause blindness and death. I do not recommend either of these.

Moderation, kind of...but in what? A moderate amount of bacon, salami, hydrogenated oil? You want to lower your risk of cancer as much as possible. A moderate amount of bacon every day, your risk of cancer shoots up.
Many lacked moderation in the past, are now obese, and moderation is not enough now. They have to take steps. They will want to eat eat eat still. These rice disks can make you feel full. Thus curbs hunger a bit. Seemed to be what worked for me.

Nutrition science is difficult and can be complex but if you don't do it you might die.

Science, nevermind nutritional science, should never be about fearmongering, saying you might die is a bit extreme. ;)

And is it the GI thats the problem or the GL? Sugar has a low GL after all. :p There is evidence to show that a moderate amount of sugar poses no increased risk to insulin resistance or health for that matter. Imo the GI thing is about selling low carb and GI diet books. Yes it's a good idea to follow GI/GL etc if helps you eat better but, if you have a balanced diet with things like sugar and unhealthier foods in moderation anyway then you will be fine. The main problem are high calorie diets which contributes to obesity, the main cause of insulin resistance and thus diabetes.

Cancer can be a hard thing to prevent, you can do everything in your power to lower the risk of it but you can still get it unfortunately. A moderate amount of bacon causes cancer? Well in one of the many studies showing this link, they state a moderate amount is 1 rasher a day. Moderation is still enough, if you get obese or develop some health problem then that wasn't moderation. You can have a bit of salami every now and then, you can have a big mac every now and then because it will cause no significant effect. Well maybe I shouldn't vouch for a big mac but you get my drift. ;) All these studies tend to show is food consumed without moderation and there are so many factors when trying to study diet and nutrition such as genetics.

Basically you can live a little and still live a lot imo. :)

home bargains logoSaving Money on Everyday Essentials at Home Bargains

Home Bargains began life as Home and Bargains in Liverpool back in the 1970s, but their expansion has become much more dramatic in the past 20 years. In that time, Home Bargains have opened stores all over the UK, where they sell everything from children’s toys to kettles and curtains.

The chain is famous for the cost of their products, which is always among the lowest of any general high street retailer, and they also tend to keep the retail experience as simple as possible. With their one-way system in their high-street stores and their no frills, efficient online store at www.homebargains.co.uk, Home Bargains make it easy to shop for a massive variety of household items.

Where to Purchase Home Bargains Products

Customers can either head to their local Home Bargains store or make a purchase online. To find your nearest outlet, just use the Home Bargains Store Locator tool. Alternatively, start adding items you need to your online shopping basket at homebargains.co.uk and place an online order.

The Home Bargains Product Range

Customers at Home Bargains can choose from a huge range of different product areas. Some of the most popular sections at their online store include:

  • Toys and Games: Including everything from bikes and scooters to puzzles, construction toys, dressing up costumes and soft toys, with options for all ages.
  • Food and confectionary: Features some of the UK’s most popular food brands, with plenty of chocolate and crisp products available to choose from.
  • Drinks: Includes all of the country’s favourite soft drinks and a wide range of alcoholic drinks too.
  • Homeware: Features items for bedrooms, living room, kitchens and children’s rooms, as well as items like mirrors, laundry racks and lighting products.
  • Furniture: Includes tables, chairs, stools, TV stands, bedroom furniture and storage units.
  • Garden: Includes tools to use in your garden as well as garden furniture, barbecues, outdoor heaters and more.
  • Electronics: Features household appliances like hoovers and washing machines, shavers and razors, electric toothbrushes, speakers and mobile phones.
  • Pets: Items to help care for all major pets as well as a selection of foods and toys.
  • Baby & Child: Features baby clothes, cots, bottles and items to help with travelling.
  • Health and Beauty: Includes perfume for men and women, cosmetics, supplements, hair care products, tanning products and family planning products as well.
  • Travel, Sports and Leisure: Includes sports equipment and clothing, luggage, car essentials and fitness accessories.
  • Arts and Crafts: Includes items for painters and budding flower arrangers.

In addition to these major product areas, you can also explore specialist sections for flower arrangements and special occasions like birthdays and marriages. Everything can be broken down by price and brand as well, making it easy to find exactly what you need.

Buying Items at Home Bargains

Purchasing items at Home Bargains is easy. If you want to shop online, just click on the item(s) you’d like. When you’ve added everything to your basket, click the “Checkout” button.

Now, you can register with Home Bargains if you are a first-time customer. This doesn’t take long, but will require a couple of pieces of information. If not, you can check out as a guest as well.

Be aware that not all items are available for home delivery. If this is the case, Home Bargains will let you know before you reach the payment page, and you can arrange an in-store pick up instead.

Home Bargains may be a low-cost retailer, but even so, they regularly offer discounts on popular product lines. One good way to check out the latest promotions is by visiting the Star Buys section of the Home Bargains store, which lists their 20 most attractive limited offers.
