Isn't the 15% discount only on a £50+ spend?

Nothing on the flyer/brochure to state £50 minimum spend this time ( all items in flyer show item with 15% off price many items £5 or less) Also says spend over £30 get a free 10% discount card valid until 21st April

Coloured Dulux Podpaint available in this offer as well with free compact roller but paint obviously costs more than white

I seriously suggest you read the reviews before buying one of these, they are almost universally hated.

I seriously suggest you read the reviews before buying one of these, they are almost universally hated.

They take a bit of getting used to and the after clean takes a while but once you get the hang of it, they are really useful and have found it much quicker to use than a normal roller or brushes etc ...

Was thinking about getting one of these, at this price with paint might just take a punt! Cheers OP!

I have one of the bigger paint pods. Used it a couple of times but they really are not that good. It is alot slower than using a normal roller and still sparks so you still need to cover floors and funiture. Pointless invention. At least this is going to be cheap. I think I paid around a £100 (inc long reach pole etc) when they first came out.

I strongly suggest reading around too, They were given away (full size ones) with purchase of Sample paints and people still turned them down...

spending a fortune on paint at the moment, so this help loads

Awful contraptions. Avoid at all costs.

I got one of those paint pod compacts free in an offer at B&Q last year.

Used it to paint our Lounge... well, half of our Lounge.

The paint needs more coats than normal emulsion, as it must be thinner to be pumped through the kit. Also, the end or the roller snapped while painting. So bought a replacement at B&Q, and the same happened to that shortly after.

Ended up finishing the lounge, and doing almost a full 2nd coat with a traditional roller.

In terms of being clean, and splatter free - they are great - but the actual painting will take longer with a paint pod.

These don't work.

If you are strong and have a lot of area to paint get a 12" roller - they are much quicker. But failing that use a good quality 9" and learn how to use it properly. Once you have a good technique you'll wonder why you ever considered gizmos like this.

If there so good then why dont all the pro painter and decorators use them??
I know quite a few and they all say you cant beat the good old fashioned roller..
Its like those old paint pads that they used to advertise... Looked awesome on the demos, come to
use one and youde be lucky to paint a foot square....

Will this discount be off garden furniture as well? Saw a lovely set at the weekend that is already half price so this discount would reduce it by another £60.

Says 15% off everything, don't know if the current furniture offer lasts till the weekend though?

thats a good point Stephen, thank you.

I have the paint pod and agree with most -ve comments. It is a chore to use. I would add that the WORST paint pod paint is the white. I took it back as it is almost translucent. So weak it would get beaten up by its own shadow.

What a nightmare that machine was. We ignored the reviews and tried it. Never again - avoid at all costs. Exactly the same result with white as the comment above. We were trying to cover magnolia with white and three layers of the stuff wasn't enough. Milk would have done a better job.

My mate is after one of these because he thinks he'll be able to use it even with a broken wrist...

is this a national offer or only in certain areas?

I wouldn't buy one of these but seeing (as always) as no one has mentioned it again.
Watching this item in a demo is cringe worthy!

Just take the offer to B&Q and get it price matched plus 10% off.
B&Q also doing 20% off this weekend - have to purchase £100 of stuff and also get 10% discount card for qualifying period. Personally I just buy the small items I need and an expensive item to make it £100+. Walk to returns with expensive item.
