Out of stock around here (Derby/Notts) - but an excellent drill - I use two of them and prefer them to my Dewalt stuff. Would like another especially with the 2.0 ah batteries.

I picked this up from Argos and must say very impressed with it! Very strong drill and the batteries last forever.

I got my grown up son one of these drills for Xmas. Paid about the same on an offer at Argos, it is so good I borrow it and probably use more than he does, even though I have my own Makita drill (which is usually squirrelled away in my van so saves me having to go out and get it). So if you can get hold of one, I'd definitely recommend it.

Looked like a great deal so I went to order one and it's out of stock in our local branches. As I'm completely uneducated when it comes to drills can anyone advise if this is a sensible solution for most home DIY type jobs @£65 and in stock: http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/stanley-fatmax-lithium-ion-cordless-hammer-drill-with-2-x-13ah-battery---18v-353919?_$ja=tsid:56804|cid:809731|cgid:80973116778989|crid:589984671 Any advice much appreciated!

Bought one of these a couple of years ago and used it loads.

Still going strong, highly recommended.

To Graham...
I have 2 of these, one of which is the older model with 2 x 1.5 batteries. They are ideal for home use, with solid build quality and plenty of power. Mine get heavy use and they still feel like new! Highly recommended!

I think the only difference is the batteries?
This has the same batteries and 1 hour charger however slightly more expensive.

None near me.:(

Got one of these back in March when it was offer - although think I paid about £80. Very good quality and highly recommend.

went into Selly Oak homebase for this and impact as well. none. had the 1.3ah battery drill versions for £63. no where near as good a bargain. I think homebase are starting make these deals up

Got one last year. My de walt batteries have had it so needed something that could last. Very impressed with the batteries and the drill. Its not brushless but for the money you just cant go wrong. Highly recommended.

The Fatmax models are great value, near Dewalt/Makita level in my opinion. This is a very hot deal but just remember you are buying in to the brand with battery's for future power tools.

another wild goose chase

I got one the other week. excellent drill. was considering Bosch or matika but this seems just as good
#18
Have this one, loads of torque and very robust :) about the same price as I got it for last year so a good deal, heat :)
#19
Great deal. I got this at start of year before moving house. Excellent bit of kit. And no I paid a bit more on the offer too. Good find. HOT for me.
#20
Got one a couple of weeks ago, they had 75 in stock at the Bradford store then. Good piece of kit, but it needs the 2 batteries as they don't last long.
#21
They have a lot more torque than most others around this price plus 2 (maybe3) year warranty.
#22
These are really great, I bought one around the same time I got a cheap dewalt (~£120) from screwfix, and this Fatmax has outlasted and outperformed it. Better batteries, better metal chuck, super useful magnetic bit holders (which make me annoyingly slap bits against the dewalt and drop them every time). Beefier batteries too.

Doesn't look like anyone has any in stock, mind..

Are you sure about that? The Homebase website itself seems a little confused...
