does every tesco accept trade in? as never seen anyone trading at mine or any signs/preowned section, nothing also if all accept where do you take them?
#3
how do you do that? Do you need to send them the game before 21st of March and they send you Homefront?

It says that the deal is accepted at all Tesco Extra's, not sure if that means its only available at Tesco Extra's though. Might be worth giving your local a ring to be sure
banned#6
sadly not all tesco`s just used their finder, nearest is 12 miles away so not worth it, hot for those that use this deal.

so hyped for this game, found out that the story mode is under 4 hours long, what a joke.

quality ! BLOPS is surely the easiest to get hold of sub £20?

Based on the mixed reviews, I think I'll keep my games tbh.
Heat tho.

This is gonna drop like a stone in price. Reviews have been mixed (72 on meta), THQ's share price dropped 25% after the reviews came out.
#14
Yeah game looks a dissapointment, good price though , so heat left for that.
#15
Keep ur games order it off bee.com £29.99 mine arrived this morning!! :)
#16
Shockingly short and looks at least 3 years out of date.
Might still pick it up when cheap on PC if there's a decent multiplayer community.
#17
Video games drop in price so quickly, so this is hot because the selected titles have been out long enough for people to have played them through, so a £5 'top up' for a new game sounds like a great deal. Shame it's for a sucky game - I liked the look of this until I realised it was by the same people as Frontlines - Fuel of War, which was just awful. I suspect this was supposed to be 'Frontlines 2' but they gave it a new title to avoid making a connection to that game.
#18
might be ok if u can get it for £25 altogether and possibly get £35 credit for homefront at gamestation etc? to put towards a decent game!

I would advise people that are looking for a good FPS to go and get Battlefield bad company 2 over this. Add the Vietnam add on and your laughing. This is a good deal, but review dont look so good. Bad company 2, I have been playing since release date....unbelievable game.

Heat added anyway

Goodbye, Assassins Creed.

Took a bit of time for me to work this out even with the PS3 & Xbox in the title (duh) – it’s not Homefront as in home insulation :-)

Can trade in Homefront + £5 to get Crysis 2 or new Tiger Woods game or i think it was NFS shift 2 at Game for those who dislike :)

dont listen to reviews, as look at GTA4 it got slapped a 10, and its noway near worth a 10, same for all CODS so overated.

ive spoke to people who have this game and been following it since it was announced, and reviews are trashing it because its not called Call Of Duty : Homefront.

this game looks like it requires everything COD doesnt offer

1.Skill
2.Team work

last bit it actually looks FUN and BALANCED unlike COD, im buying and will support devs whilst they compete again the call of duty franchise.

Agreed BF2 kicks ass! But the real beauty of this deal is people will be trading in games they likely spent £20-£25 on to get £35 off a new release which they can likely trade in for £35 credit when they are done or if you see my above post get another new release for £5 meaning for £30 they got to play 2 decent games and keep a third new release.

I think most of us that are into our games are more than capable of making our own minds up based on more than a couple of biased reviews. A lot of people were looking forward to this and user reviews are slating it also, and some reputable sources that have over time given what I myself think to be correct scores are damning it, so excuse me if I take their advice over yours.

I am afraid by the looks of things it will drop in price very quickly. Might pick it up when it does.

p.s. we dont all play COD or GTAIV, even though they are both good games at what they do.

It's called a multiplayer.
And anyway you're wrong. You sound like someone that reads The Sun. Nobody said it's under 4 hours long, they said it's at least 5 hours long.

Soulreape im not telling you to take my advice, but im stating that reviews shouldnt be taken seriously, listen to friends who have the same taste or rent + judge.

also its getting mixed reviews so far from " slating " plus all FPS games drop its only a matter of time, and this will drop faster as it doesnt have Call Of Duty in the title ( i myself USED to love COD but after quitting them making black ops my last one cause tbh its appalling i realised there not that great of games )

anyway i wasnt telling you to follow my advice, im just fed up of going " Review was bad im not getting it even tho it looks good " as ive bought games that scored low and i loved them.

That game hit the bargain bin ages ago anyway. This is now, not the past.

Always thought that 72% ( actually 75% now ) was a good result.

Here are some reviews from Metacritic-

"Maybe the tasks are familiar, but the gritty concept of the game and its great multiplayer experience makes Kaos Studio's battlefield a great one. Fans of team-based online shooters will want to spend a lot of time on Homefront."

"If you've been looking forward to Homefront since last year's E3 like we have, you'll be glad to know that Kaos has delivered a truly fantastic shooter. And if you're the kind of gamer that values quality over quantity, then you'll definitely want to check it out."

"If you are into multiplayer, it's a completely different story though! Nice Maps and Modes, exciting battles and a motivating XP-system make Homefront a worthy diversion until the release of BF3."

Copy arrived from Bee.com today - amazing service considering that I pre-ordered Killzone 3 from Play and that didn't arrive until a week after the release date! Very atmospheric opening and from what I've played so far seems reasonably engaging, despite the unlikely premise (only a game after all). Will try on-line later. The market is drowning in FPS right now, and not sure whether this will stand out.

Mine arrived from Bee.com today too. Only tried the multiplayer anf have to admit it's pretty dissapointing. Looks very dated and ugly, feels a bit sluggish to control and maps are pretty boring. Nice ideas with the Battlepoints and such but nothing to get excited about. Glad I only paid £28 (with Quidco), will probably blast through the single player then sell it on. Not even bothered to input my online code as I don't really feel like going above level 5 from what I've seen :(

People on my friends list that got it today say the multiplayer is brilliant. Campaign was always going to be so-so.

I think you will find Sheza, that Battlefield still wipes the floor with Homefront even tho it is in the past as you say it is. The fact is, if Battlefield bad company two is in the bargain bins that is even better to gamers in my opinion. I totally agree with what Soulreape said earlier....look at the reviews...go and grab 10 reviews from different sites and compare homefront with Battlefield....find me a couple that show that Homefront is better. You wont, thats the bottom line. Homefront will be in the bargain bin very soon, mark my words.....the numbers playing online on it will soon realise how bad it is and cross back into COD or battlefield. I may be wrong.....but I am just stating the facts of reviews from sites and what I have seen of the game....Battlefield is far superior to this, and your a doughnut if you think otherwise.

Just a shame that this game looks like garbage.

Good story or not, paying that money for a 5 hour campaign and crappy multiplayer ripped from CoD just aint worth it.

In the bargain bins before easter, especially with Crysis 2 only a week away.
