One of the most critically acclaimed shows in TV history, Homicide: Life On The Street re-invigorated a tired genre by focusing on the grueling work of solving murders instead of an endless succession of bloody crimes and car chases.

The second series features a trilogy of episodes bursting with drama The City That Bleeds, Dead End, and End Game in which three detectives are seriously wounded as a result of a gunman's ambush, two of them almost fatally; meanwhile, the rest of the unit grapples with this reminder of their own mortality as they hunt for the perpetrator. The second series sees the Baltimore Homicide Team further mixing their personal lives with their professional ones, including several affairs among the department's officers and Lewis and Bayliss deciding to buy their own bar.

All 20 episodes are included, spread across five-discs.

Do they not understand that I already have season 2 and want season 3 for this price? ;)
I bought the first season before Christmas when it was posted on here, only got one episode left to go - very good series.
Great series. I'm waiting for S3 to come down a bit too.
Season 1 showing as £5 also! Been waiting for these since I missed the last one before Christmas.

Thanks OP, heat added :)
Never seen this. How does it compare to The Wire?
Auhh the wire.......... can anything compare to "The Wire"

The shield certainly didnt when i went in search of something post "The Wire"
That's exactly what I'm looking for - a post-The Wire fix.

The only thing I can find is to start watching The Wire again!

might seem a little dated but The Wire was inspired by this brilliant groundbreaking series.

BROTHERHOOD is also a great street drama

Also watch THE CORNER (Prequel to THE WIRE).

I'm just working my way through the first series. Takes a while to get into and is a little slow compared with The Wire but I'm getting into. Series 1 is quite old now so loks dated.
I'm going to persevere though so will get this, can't go wrong for a fiver. Got series 1 for a fiver before Christmas too.

Yeah, thats exactly what i did in the end, ive watched the whole 5 series's three times now............. and still love it and see bits i never clocked first and second time around!!!

The Shield is not the answer tho believe.......... i think it may even be a comedy im not sure.....

Ive got Homicide series One but i havent really had the opportunity to sit down and get into it properly.

The Corner was a good mini series though as mention in another post.

Yeah I've watched The Corner. A bit rough round the edges compared to The Wire but better than most. Weird to see Lester Freamon as a dope fiend in it though.

Might check out Homicide even if the first series is nearly 17 years old! Might check out an episode 'online' (ahem) before I commit to the DVDs though :pirate:
how many episodes per season and how long an episode?
