The only thing that I find missing is a gyroscope so no VR - some site list it as having one and other don't. I contacted Homtom to find out and can confirm it doesn't.

How does the processor on these compare to something like a snapdragon 810?

It doesn't overheat like the 810 :D but some manufactures have had issues with the 3D rendering, will be interesting to see if they have fixed it.

Looks like the Helio X20 wins!

The specs are absolutely amazing. And this is a rare Chinese phone that works on US 4GLTE network.
However, this is a pre-order and no one has actually had their hands on one yet.
HomTom had previously only made low end (albeit great value with great reviews) phones in the region of £50-£80
This is a huge jump in tech specs for one of their phones, so we shall see if it does look and feel like a top spec phone.
Also, with all that power, not sure how long a 3200mah battery would last.

With the specs I believe it to be a very good deal indeed, just a shame they scrimped on the sensors, for a few extra £ to add gyro, hall sensor etc. Just waiting on confirmation from Homtom if it has a compass, if it does then virtual gryo will be viable

ive taken the plunge. lets hope its as good as it reads

post a review when you receive it. will be helpful

Deca Core is Tri cluster. 2-4-4. Not seen any Antutu benchmarks yet though. But the x10 was only 86,000..

If anyone can link to a benchmark I'd appreciate it. Something in English too

Why can't they give them better names, like Albert or Jennifer?

Why are so many of these phones made with a prominent rear camera lens?
Everytime you put the phone down, you risk scratching the lens.

I dunno. Tell me why?

decisions decisions, the Bush Spira is good spec, and available from Argos with a 2 year warranty. not sure what the differences are tho??

Just be mindful that whilst the price is good, currently it's a promotional one, as machofairy rightly points out its Pre- Order. Gearbest don't actually have it in stock and its dispatched shipping date is supposedly 29 September. I'm just giving the heads up as I previously went down a similar route with Gearbest ( not for this phone mind) and for whatever reason, they never ended up getting stock of the phone, which as you can imagine is tedious to say the least if you've been waiting ages for it.

Seems to be getting good reviews.

I've found this loads cheaper, £139.99, at another retailer, LightInTheBox, but HotUKDeals won't let me post it as apparently they are not an approved store.
I've bought from them before and had no issues at all so while I can't get any heat for this deal if you want this phone you should use this link

I posted a deal from them it was deleted. Superb phone for £139.99.

Are they shipped from the UK and will I have to flash rom or other tech stuff?

Not shipped from UK but seems to be quicker than Gearbest. Should come with the international ROM

Hi, does this have compass, gyro, etc for a premium model?
I cant find any saying it does.

No, it doesn't that seems to be the only downfall of this phone. Seems silly for the few £ it would have cost

For those using specs, I read that it says the iris scanner can deal with it.
But now, I am thinking about tints, sunglasses, redeyed through drink, etc. How do you login inconspicuously publicly in the Underground?
#25
So many of these Chinese phones around. Excellent specs and cheap. Very tempting
#28
Does this have GPS? Can't seem to find any mention of it and I would like to be able to use it as a Sat Nav.

Actual hands-on review here - all other reviews so far have been speculative

Sadly after using it for a month I'm sending it back. Constantly crashes or reboots and loses data signal overnight.

Shame, really nice phone otherwise
