Shame I've just bought a new car!
This is a lot better than some of the crappy car deals on here!

Nice piece of kit, although Beige isn't the most exciting colour.

good deal for a brand new... but how much does this normally sell for normally?
#11
I think this will be an import model as its not even available direct from Honda (they only offer the petrol/electric IMA hybrid version). Still, parts should be readily available and a very good reliable car for an excellent price, good spec too.

Just not too great for the style-conscious or anyone under 60!

Its an import, non UK spec. The UK saloon is Hyrbid only. Good price anyway :)
#18
Seems like a good deal but as others have said might be an import. Whilst it might still be a right hand drive, the second hand value might not be as good.

True. They do sell these over in EIRE though so could just be a republic of Ireland import. Would definitely be RHD.

Good value and most certainly would last a lot longer than the ford or vauxhall equivalent.

Motorpoint do import from Eire.

Looking at the spec & shape It will definately be an import, cost more to insure & service and residual value will be below £5000 in four years time.(look up 06 models in autotrader).
The final nail in this coffin is that parts are NOT always readily available e.g. window glass is often different tint as I found to my cost & having gone through the troubles with a toyota import I would definately avaoid so cold from me.

only downfall is that it's a 4 dr

So you are saying it will retian around 50% of it's original value after four year, so that's above average then!

I had an Eire import and informed my insurance and they said it is ok, no difference. Only usually cars from outside europe make a difference. Also their was nothing on my log book that stated my car was an import, not that it bothered me anyway. 99% of cars aimed for the european market have no major difference from when they leave the factories.

Only issue is the warranty, be 2-years at best. Anyone actually interested check the manufacturer date of the car, in the past some of there imports have been sat in stock abroad for up to 2 years!
#35
I'd love a new car but can't get one cause I keep crashing, so have to drive an old tank waiting for the next collision

What rubbish.

Certainly it will outlive most vauxhall's based on 10 yr old cars on the road today though to be fair fords are fairly well screwed together these days!

I'd take 100,000 mile lifetime warranty over two years any day. Also, the old "Honda's are reliable" line from 10/15 years ago doesn't stack up any more.

erm vauxhall offer a lifetime warranty upto 100k miles on their new cars, which means if you drive 10k miles a year its a ten year warranty. I personally would prefer the honda though.

My guess is Cyprus, my friend had a Cyprus Honda Civic a few years ago from MP. Price was good (like this one) but downside was only 1 year warranty from MP themselves, it turned out to be a right PITA with a central locking/immobiliser fault, the MP warranty was useless and our local Honda dealers charged an arm and a leg to try and sort it.

3 months and she traded it for a Jazz, Lost a bundle on the deal.

Still that was then, things might be different these days?
