HMV Exclusive Box Set- Contains All 31 Episodes The number one super guy, quicker than the human eye, he's got style, a groovy style and a car that just won't stop! A true cartoon classic created by animation legends Hanna-Barbera, Hong Kong Phooey works undercover as a mild-mannered police station janitor named Penrod "Penry" Pooch alongside Sarge and Rosemary at the local police station.

Whenever Penry overhears a crime being committed, he jumps into action, becoming the powerful pooch the girls love to smooch by leaping into the bottom drawer of a filing cabinet and emerging from the top draw in a bright red karate outfit as Hong Kong Phooey!

To get to the crime scene our canine Super Hero uses the Phooeymobile, a vehicle that with a swift "bong of the gong" can change into anything Hong Kong Phooey needs it to be so he's ready to put the criminals where they belong - in jail!

Phooey fights crime the only way he can - badly - only managing to crack it through klutziness, with the help of his faithful police cat, Spot, or with plain dumb luck. As we know, for every great Super Hero, there is the Super Hero's trusty side-kick. And for Hong Kong Phooey this would be Spot, a cat who can't speak, but who only mumbles or grumbles at everything he knows Hong Kong Phooey is doing wrong..... which is EVERYTHING! So, even though we secretly know Spot may be the smart one here... Hong Kong Phooey is the one given the credit in the end.

Why is that Storm warning on Wikipedia's episode list? Actually, I found a story called Storm Warning on YouTube but that one is the same as The Incredible Mr. Shrink. It is quite obvious that you'll find "31 episodes" on the cover of this complete set. There would be an individual BBFC classification for the complete set if it had something more. %20contains%20"HONG%20KONG%20PHOOEY")%20and%20((%20[TypeOfMedia]%20contains%20Film)%20OR%20(%20[TypeOfMedia]%20contains%20Video)%20OR%20(%20[TypeOfMedia]%20contains%20DigitalMedia))&SearchMax=50"]I can't find any sign of that.

The number of episodes is officially 16 but as there are 2 stories in one episode this makes 31 because the final one, Comedy Cowboy, was a full-lenght single adventure.
