it wasnt that easy though, even though there was a massive sign behind her that said we will match plus 10% of the difference we where told no, doubt it very much.
In the end we felt like we where scrounging, they rang Comet twice, rang again to make sure it wasnt a mistake, rang someone else, spoke to a couple of managers and then tried to rip us off with the 10%, giving us 10% of the £49.99 not the £136 difference.(I think they try that on) Anyway I kept me cool and got it, at the end of the day thats their policy and if they cant or dont like matching that much they souldnt have it.

bought this hoover 2 wks ago works really well and picks up pet hair great

Well done you - I hate it when you have to demand what is apparently freely offered
#3
£180 hoover for £36 and it gets voted cold.
#4
Given heat but think its cold because of the wording??? Sorry. I had to read it a few times to understand it reword it for easier reading.

Surely 10% off of £50 is £5 so it would cost £45 not £36?

Edit. I get it now 10% of the difference, been a long week!
#6
Think it's 10% of the price difference i.e. £180 - £50 = £130. 10% = £13

New total = £37?

Can anyone find this model on the Currys site?
#8
can;t find it myself...
#9
Instore only. I am sure its supposed to say that on the offer as the drop down box for instore only was used.

Forgive me but I'm new to this game, are we voting on grammer and spelin or how good the deal is? I'm confused some what.

What makes you raise that question?

so do i have to go into currys first and say that i saw it cheaper at comet??
#13
Although i've done this sort of thing before, I think i'd be more inclined and comfortable just paying a bit extra and getting it from Comet.

Incidentally, I can't find it on the Comet site either.

I rang Curry's main customer service line - none showing in stock anywhere in the London - Herts area (he even went as far south as Brighton - nothing showing other than a few gays on his database)

Buy a Dyson. lol :)

Moron patrol LOL!
#17
can you do a price match in store? its really annoying i have an insurance card with £800 on it but cant use it online!
#18
i h8 deals like this most of the time they never even exist its just a ploy to get u into there ever failing shop, if it was a bargain it would be posted online to get shot off not hidden under a desk in the shop.

I found this hoover in my local comet, but it is priced up at £59.99 (which still seems to be a very good price) but there was no sign of it in Currys. Seems that you would have to be very lucky to find it in stock in both places locally.

Hmmmmm... All sounds very ;-) fishy to meee....:whistling:

My fur could do with a bit of tidying up... So I stalked my way to BOTH Curry's & Comet - and you know what......

Even the BIRDS in there couldn't be caught on this one... The flew away from me as soon as I purred about the Hoover at this price....

I got two big NO's..... As they could find no local Store that had them in stock - so there goes your price match, and as it happened they didn't have any at full price anyway - which made it all a tad hypothetical really...

All in all, whilst my hunting and stalking skills got tested - I'm afraid to say that this looks like one of those 'local' or 'special' deals that may prove as hard to track down as mice on my dinnerplate!

Talking of which.....

What makes you raise that question?

It could be to do with someone blowing hot and cold;-);-);-)

Right, in theory it a great idea thanks you very much. But I had spoken to Curry’s customer service and this line in not longer in stock. Therefore you can not price match.

On the other hand Comet price is £59.99
