Good post, let's hope there are no anti-Haiti earthquake-charity trolls in this thread for once.

Just downloaded from Itunes.

Good songs, good price, good cause.

Lets make this hot!

EDIT: OP- maybe take '15.80' from title, and put 5.60 goes to charity (that's the important part).
#5
Or, you could pay £15.80. 100% of which will go to the victims of Haiti and you won't be promoting rehashed music.

In an ideal world, everyone would give £100 to the appeal without buying songs, but we don't live in such a world. £6 is a nice reasonable sum of money for people to donate (if they wish), and in return they get some reasonably good (slightly depressing) songs

Agree - took me a while to find that bit

It totally is not a reasonable sum. None of the songs are new. It's a completely rehashed compilation heartlessly put together to profit off the tragedy in Haiti. Buying this album is only indicates to the corporations that they can profit off such things.
Voted cold.

Are you completely dumb and blind?
£5.60 from the album goes to charity.
Some peoples are just so stupid.

Ridiculous comment, tell that to the families living on minimum income, I suppose you would argue that they have it easy

I think everyone has a choice, if you want to support, support, if you don't, don't!!! Its not brain science and one thing I HATE with a passion is other self righteous PC ninnies (which this site has more than its fair share of) TELLING me what I should and shouldnt do!!!! :x

it might just be me, but personally i don't feel right buying a charity album because its on offer :-P its just like i'm giving less to charity :P

Up steps PC wannabee number 1

NO-ONE will expire this as it is a deal on the original cost price (which defeats the object of charity anyway). The ONLY reason other threads have been closed is that they merely promoted the charity, which is NOT allowed by the mods, to then allow it would open the begging floodgates!! This is a deal, BUT, you may have to accept, as I do, that others may have a differing opinion to yourself...... thats not trolling, its life

LOL think the music is supposed to be second to the donation element. Thing that makes me sick is that these "artists" will probably forgoe their fee and take that as a their contribution, easing their conscience while they sit in one of their many homes having Moet baths!!! Their combined wealth would eclipse our contributions if they actually put their hand in their pockets :whistling:

Aaah, you must be talking about that well known Irish dog biscuit Bonio. He manages to leech himself onto every charity going. :whistling:

Please do not expire deals that are still available. Expiring deals that are still available achieves nothing. If you accidently expire a deal then please contact the moderators and it will be unexpired straight away. Thank you for your cooperation. From the HUKD rules "Abuse of the voting system, reputation, expiry and spam buttons will lead to a ban from the forums."

You are a *****, these artists deserve the money they get, you're just jealous that you're not talented enough to earn the same money. They dont have to donate anything but they're gonna be donating a hell of a lot more than you in nominal terms and probably in percentage terms too so dont have a go at them.

Bono is included in that list of 'artists' so that makes your whole comment void.

If he sold his entire indoor sunglasses collection then maybe the whole of Africa could live off the proceeds for an entire month.

Rep for that answer, I'm with you completely. Personally can't see the point of donating one penny to a country that since being discovered by Columbus has been nothing but a disaster zone. I fully expect it to be devastated by a Hurricane (again) within another 5 years.

Did you even read what I wrote? Perhaps you have trouble understanding things in the context that they were written .

I wasn't suggesting everyone should donate £100. I was making a point to the previous poster that £6 (or 5.60) is a reasonabe amount for many (not all) to donate if they wish, and in return they get some Ok songs.

If you sold everything you own it would probably help people in africa but you earned that money so you shouldn't be guilt tripped into doing so. Just because these people earn more than most, they shouldn't feel extra pressure to donate.

Errr.... yes I did, did you read what you SAID. Let me help you, you said, and I quote:
"In an ideal world, everyone would give £100 to the appeal without buying songs, but we don't live in such a world".

Seems pretty much black and whote to me, I guess YOU should abide by the saying "say what you mean or people might think that what you mean is what you say"

Jeez that's fair for them, they can't get any donations because they happen to live in a country where natural disasters occur? Unlike our wealthy country where the worst we get is a bit of snow.
Wow, i sure wish you lived in another country then so you could experience how lucky you really are to have the life you have, and how crap others lives are.
A lot of people really need to see some perspective.

I give up. I'm not going to go back and deconstruct my post for you. Read it in the context of the quotation I made and it should be obvious to most.

meh, not another one of these :(

yes it's "deal", but if you actually want a couple of totally rubbish tracks at a discount,
the only reason this gets bumped is because it's a charity, therefore it is taking precedence over threads that are more relevant to this site

if stuff like this is allowed to continue then we'll be swamped with feelgood posts about every charity on the planet

if I posted a charity offer for "The best of Chaz n Dave" at a bargain price, would you all give that loads of heat too ?
