Horror DVDs for £1.00 at Poundland

Just got home from Poundland in Chelmsford with 7 new DVDs, they have got loads of horror films at the moment, now I'm not gonna lie to you and tell you these films are great, they will only appeal to people who enjoy cheesy tacky horror and a lot of these will be absolute garbage but for a quid I think its worth the punt because I love bad horror films.

The films I remember seeing were

Doll Graveyard
Hell Asylum
Satan's Little Helper
Flesh for the Beast
Dead Mans Hand
Sam Hain
Killjoy
Killjoy 2
Camp Blood
Camp Blood 2
Cat O'Nine Tails
Blood Gnome
Puppet Master
Strange Things Happen at Sundown
Phenomena
Jackhammer Massacre
666 - The Demon Child
Dont Look in the Basement
Dont Ring the Doorbell
Live Feed
The Fear
Demons 2
American Gothic

+ Sickle
- Be//

I bought eight of these DVD's on Saturday, well worth it for a pound, especially if you like that type of cheesy, low budget horror. There are also some pretty good films mixed in there aswell though from Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci (at least I got a couple of Argento titles and a Fulci title).

Rubbish B grade films.

actually what is more disturbing is that you remembered 25 film names after a visit to poundland :w00t:

Actually there's some really good ones on there, I've seen some of them and IMDB rate these ones quite favourably:

Phenomena - 6.8
Cat O'Nine Tails - 6.6
Satan's Little Helper - 5.4
Dont Ring the Doorbell - 5.3
Demons 2 - 5.2

Plus I've seen Phenomena, Demons 2, 666, Puppet Master and Jackhammer Massacre and they are all awesome!!! Well they are if you like Z-Grade trash movies!

Of course. It's a Peter Jackson film isn't it, before he went commercial.

Killjoy is a classic!! Well worth £1. Wish i could find Shakma or Slaughter High
#22
utter parp, £1 is the rrp im sure on these. they are terrible films, some are cheaper at cex too.

id probably pay £1 for 10, just for the dvd cases and 10 cool looking coasters, but these films are bad.

my advice is if you want to pay £1 for a horror film, but that 10 horror boxset from hmv - been £10 for a while, you get good films that were in cinemas and are worth more than £1 each. stuff like 28 days later, dog soldiers, creep, deathwatch, jeepers creepers 2, wrong turn, the sin eater, from hell - cant remember the other 2 though off hand.

Have you seen them all to be able to say that or are you just making a general assumption?

Just watched Killjoy and you're right, classic!!!

i love b-movies, but i couldn't possibly recommend killjoy to anyone.

possibly the most cringeworthy, unfunny piece of crap i've ever seen, it literally killed my joy.
#28

Boooooooo hiiissssss - you haven't lived until you have seen Puppet Master at least 10 times. And where can you find these cheaper? Thanks OP, I saw these last week and forgot all about them! I'm now the proud owner of 3 Argento films and Doll Graveyard.

Out of the lot available, I'd say that Demons is the best, followed by Puppet Master. Still, I haven't seen any of Argento's films bar Suspiria, and Phenomena is supposed to be good. Good stuff

lol, you consider films like Creep & Jeepers Creepers 2 to be better than Phenomena & Dont Look in the Basement? Bet you can't wait for Saw 6 to come out at the cinema

Thanks op, I'll have a look in my local poundland tomorrow.
#32
I have bought most of these now. Wish they had the Gingerdead Man and The Ice Cream Man though!
#33
Didn't think much of Suspiria, much preferred Inferno.

Will have a look later today in poundland.

If I had to buy 3, which would any of you that have seen these recommend?
#34
Only had a few at mine. Killjoy 1 & 2, Sickle, Live Feed, Don't ring the doorbell. But did have some not mentioned on here: Dead cheerleaders, Fear 2 and a couple more I can't recall.
