I purchased this from the sellers website (instead of via Amazon). Saved about 40p plus roughly 66p back via QuidCo. For the sake of pennies I'd usually just use Amazon to save yet another website taking my CC details, but they accept PayPal too so that solved that.

Was hoping Three would have upped the 1gb/mth by now. It's been this way for several years now. I do like how the sim works from the moment it's inserted and be chucked away when used up. I've got through many 3gb and 12gb data cards by Three over the years in my iPads. Never any issues.

mine came with the alan wake download to and i was able to redeem it, the game was like new great price.
At least £8 cheaper than a brand new copy. Thanks, OP. I've bitten on this one as I've been after a sub-£20 deal on this for ages and have always wondered how good these like new ex-rentals are.

Figured at this price I can make most of my money back selling it on if it's not a keeper.

Thanks just grabbed one :)
This stuff is crap, playing badminton outside is crap.

If you want to play book a court or visit a club. You should spend this much on a single racket really to get anything good enough to hit the shuttle to the back of the court. Stuff like this is why people don't take interest in badminton as a exciting competitive sport. It's like playing snooker on a tiny table with tiny plastic cues.
too windy in Bournemouth :( but hot from me
The shuttlecocks look like they're plastic ones - they should be very cheap anyway.

Decent price for 4, seems to be around 3-4 quid just for one. Not the deal of the century, but worth getting a few spares if you're going to have the pool out over the supper, they get quite nasty &

Put them in the dishwasher to clean them up, works a treat.
That's a good idea. Though even after a full cycle I'm not sure I want all that greenishbrown pool-gunk anywhere near my tableware.

I wait until I have a few and put them in on their own!
Get this instead I have been using for about 6 months and far the best thing I have used at a fraction of the price https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222186354564

Just standard with ethernet.

High speed?
No.
I was actually querying your comment. What is this 'high speed' you refer to?
I see.
Say you have a 4K TV and you want your HDMI cable to support all of the available functionality that HDMI 2.0 offers, then you need a high speed HDMI cable.
If it's not high speed then it will only support limited functionality.
Have a look here for more info.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Cables
As of the HDMI 1.4 specification, the following cable types are defined for HDMI in general:[76][77]
Standard HDMI Cable – up to 1080i and 720p
Standard HDMI Cable with Ethernet
Automotive HDMI Cable
High Speed HDMI Cable – 1080p, 4K, 3D and deep color
High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet
Yes. I've read that and others before, but I've yet to find anything describing the difference in the cables.
Incidentally, the wording on the sheath of the cable I received is 'HIGH SPEED HDMI CABLE WITH ETHERNET' - all in caps - I'm not shouting.
I've seen data specs for the cables but I didn't have a rocket science degree to understand them myself.
High speed is enough for just about every need.
There is a new Premium High Speed that I have seen advertised but not read up about it yet.
This is relatively straightforward and enlightening. I've seen both Premium High Speed and Premium Ultra High Speed, neither of which terms appear to comply with HDMI official nomenclature. HDMI

This has been carefully manipulated by the seller to avoid it damaging its Amazon account. Hit it while you can!
Ain't that bothered that I didn't receive item and won't just wish they would have emailed to say was pricing error instead of the big B#LL SH## trying to trick people . Pretending they have just plonked in post with no tracking info . Shame Amazon allow this - Amazon really are going down hill for me anyway . Never had problems before now seems to be problem with 25% of my recent orders

What's the strongest glue out there?

I bought a different type of Gorilla Glue from Screwfix ....you get 250ml of the stuff and OMG is it strong AND waterproof so can be used outside.

http://www.screwfix.com/p/gorilla-glue-250ml/51887

I used it to bond metal facia back onto my car .....awsome stuff.

One of the surfaces you bond needs to be damp using a cloth as this is the activator.

It also expands to 4 times it's size ...so don't use a lot.

You also need a clamp with this stuff as it take 2 hours to dry (but handy if you need to change the position of the thing being bonded) and 24 hours to cure......AND WEAR THE GLOVES (which are supplied with the bottle).....you DO NOT want this stuff on your hands ! Trust Me !.......and buy more gloves if using it again !

Just remember guys, a lot of these are fake... Even from trusted sellers etc.
I've been returning loads lately to eBay and Amazon :(
How have you determined they are fakes? One way I'm guessing is to weigh them - I know a lot of cheap cells contain air and you can prove this by squeezing them.
Sorry for the delay! Have a look here, it's quite a useful resource: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18721174&highlight=fake+batteries

I've posted it before in another "Duracell Industrial" thread but that seems to have been removed, probably because the eBay listing/seller that it was referring too was deemed to have been selling fakes... from what I gather these batteries are like the new 'fake razor blades' that we were seeing flooding the market a few years back.

I've given up now, pay the little bit extra and know you're getting the real thing (_;)
My argument is always to use rechargeables; I understand how that message could have been lost in all the confusion. So if you're still looking for disposables then I'll leave it to others to help out, but there have been suggestions already in this thread.
Rather than going back and forward between each other why not just post a link to a viable cheaper/same price alternative?

There's nothing "wrong" about what I said. Had you used the right units there wouldn't have been confusion between the two. But a clock takes a fraction of a milliamp, not 200!
Try to read with understanding.
"The low-drain discharge of 200mA is designed to represent a typical light load on a battery that a toy, CD/MP3 player, torch or similar product may demand from a battery." you still don't get it?
1000 mA = 1A is really heavy demand, and you can easy calculate that 2500mAh means you can use your gadget just for 2.5h in total. 200mA usage means 12h of use, which is more typical. Using 10mA current = 250 HOURS of work.

I'd try and get a code so you can try a cheap bag from them first before buying on Amazon, but good price if you want single bags and you like the stuff!
Expensive though when you go through 2kilos a month, Extract is another favourite of mine.

Think I tried square mile once years ago. I found the majority of has bean coffee a bit too acidic, although I have had some really nice beans from them.

Just received this:

Hello,

I am John with F&T customer service department and I’m contacting you regarding your recent order with us.
I have just been advised by our warehouse that due to a recent server maintenance our stock levels have not been updated and stock was wrongly allocated. Unfortunately this item is currently out of stock.
We sent this notification on 8th July, but due to a technical glitch, apparently the message didn’t go through.
We have been trying to sort out new stock delivery, but currently have not yet heard back from our suppliers.
Therefore in order to avoid any further delays we have processed a full refund for you.
I sincerely apologize for this mix-up and I have informed our IT department about the issue so they make sure this does not happen again.
We can assure you that none of this was anticipated and we would never deliberately and knowingly cause such an inconvenience to a customer.
We sincerely apologize for the delay in informing you. Thank you very much for your kind understanding.

Best Regards,
John

weird how this has seen so many discounts despite some decent acclaim from fans and critics. Demo and beta was fun enough, but if I've waited this long, I may as well wait until it's £19.99 :p
It just seems to be the trend with Bethesda games over the last few years to be honest.
Skyrim, Dishonored, Wolfenstein (both), Fallout 4 and now Doom. All standard and special editions have dropped in price quicker pound for pound than any other games that I can honestly think of over the years. All games were treated with critical acclaim by the way.
It's an odd one, but there ya go.

Birthplace alone doesn't account for someone's nationality though, if it did Raheem Sterling would be playing for Jamaica.
I was born in Wales and have lived over 40 years in London. My children were all born in London, but when asked their Nationality on the last Census, wanted to be put down as Welsh.
If my son played for Wales his birthplace would be seen as London, England. He certainly doesn't see himself as English. He is WELSH!!!
Good luck to the boys tonight, we have a good chance. I wish they would play down their chances a bit. They have come across as being a little bit too confident over the last few days.
Cymru Am Byth!!!!
So proud of being Welsh he stays in London, classic, oh and where did he get his Welsh passport boyo?
Your repugnant petty nationalism would be comical if it weren't so bitter.
English by birth, BRITISH by choice
Give the guy a break! I'm an England fan, I was born and grew up in England. However my father is Portuguese and my mother is Welsh... But there would be nothing wrong with me supporting Portugal or Wales, just as there's nothing wrong with supporting Everton if your father was born in Liverpool and you grew up in Kent or something.
It's nice to have such a rich heritage to be honest. I also think a lot comes down to what the national sport is of the country in question. In Wales it's rugby, in England and Portugal it's football. I will always support Wales in rugby.
To be honest, it's hard not to be envious of Wales when they have a national anthem like that. God Save the Queen is terrible, it divides us more than unites us, the opposite of what a national anthem should do.

Good old egg chasing, they'll be jumping off this bandwagon and getting back to that caper once the bubble has burst in a year or two. The delicious irony there is that the last time they actually beat NZ in their 'national sport' was five years prior to the last time they qualified for a major football tournament :D

I don't get this supporting different countries at random sports because you got ancestry there. My old man was Hungarian and their water polo team has always been a world force so that is their national sport. Yet I don't don a gimpy swimming cap and start cheering them on in it whenever the world championships or the Olympics come round.

I am far prouder of how the Hungarians rose up against socialist tyranny and stood up to the Soviet war machine with little more than hand guns in 56 if I have to choose something to nail my Magyar colours to the mast with.

I was born here, my whole life has revolved around London and Essex, so all I know sport wise is football and cricket. Why would I jump on the water polo bandwagon because my late father's native homeland is the world's number one in it?

Birthplace alone doesn't account for someone's nationality though, if it did Raheem Sterling would be playing for Jamaica.
I was born in Wales and have lived over 40 years in London. My children were all born in London, but when asked their Nationality on the last Census, wanted to be put down as Welsh.
If my son played for Wales his birthplace would be seen as London, England. He certainly doesn't see himself as English. He is WELSH!!!
Good luck to the boys tonight, we have a good chance. I wish they would play down their chances a bit. They have come across as being a little bit too confident over the last few days.
Cymru Am Byth!!!!

and that is nothing like having one grandparent that is welsh........ being born in England to two English parents and 3 out of 4 grandparents being English.

Its fine as I said from the start, nationality is subjective at the best of times.

My point wasn't anti-welsh far from it... it was saying its hard to take the anti English nonsense from the team and fans when 9 of the squad arguably have more right to play for England than wales.

Why cant we all just get along was my initial point...

But obviously I am a bitter Englishman for wanting that....

So proud of being Welsh he stays in London, classic, oh and where did he get his Welsh passport boyo?
Your repugnant petty nationalism would be comical if it weren't so bitter.
English by birth, BRITISH by choice

Terminating your own cables is useful for two reasons: you can make them exactly the length you want, and you can feed them through small holes.
I don't usually have to feed them through small holes as I use solid core cable to sockets. (As I said, I don't have any difficulty maintaining the twists with sockets) The only time I use male to male cables is the short run from the socket to each pc, this needs some slack anyway. At the other end, I have sockets lined up a fixed distance from the router, so standard 0.5 metre cables work with that.

An interesting article, but, as anyone who has written for Wikipedia knows, your 'job' is to regurgitate citations, for the user, it's the citations that are important, and there aren't many here. Articles which begin 'needs additional citations for verification' require just that :) I think it has always been common knowledge that the twists need to be maintained, this may simply be 'best practice' in reality. in a home network, there are few connections anyway. I still think it's better to buy than make, a good cable should have been tested anyway in ways that the ordinary user cannot, and I don't mean using a simple cable tester! Nowadays even home networks require considerable bandwidth, there are many reasons for a failure to achieve necessary speed, so it is good to think that physical connections are not one of them :)
On the other hand, cable lengths up to 100m are specified, and as you are very unlikely to get near that in the home, you can accommodate some issues in a less than ideal connection because there will be correspondingly less loss in the cable.

The main trouble with these tools is maintaining the twists of the pairs of wires AND THEN get them in the very small individual holes. Yes, it's easy to get them in if you push then straight it, but unless you maintain the twists, you won't get good signal to noise ratio and you won't get full speed, particularly at megabit speeds. They will work, of course. It's possible to get a special crimper that uses dies, but it's much more expensive.
Personally, I don't think it's worth the effort.
Sockets however, are much easier.
However voted hot for the price. :)
The twists are only important over several meters they are all set to prime number frequencies to minimize the number of coincident twists. There will be material difference conferred by the last few cm.
These tools are fine for occasional use and work well. Heat++
Apart from the last sentence, this comment doesn't make sense to me.
Apologies.

The post I was commenting on has a number of incorrect statements. 1) Signal to noise not relevant as Cat5 can run Gigabit well cover 100m 2) There is talk about maintaining the twists - again not correct. 3) There is talk of not getting megabit speeds even damp string will get that type of speed I think the writer meant to say Gigabit.

The twist frequency needs to be understood in the context of why we twist the cables in the first place. Early network cables were thick and heavy they used metal shielding to protect the cables from interference. Modern network cables have less (or no) shielding. This makes them thinner, more flexible and cheaper. To cope with interference modern cable have data sent along a pair of wires known as a balanced pair. "In balanced pair operation, the two wires carry equal and opposite signals and the destination detects the difference between the two. This is known as differential mode transmission. Noise sources introduce signals into the wires by coupling of electric or magnetic fields and tend to couple to both wires equally. The noise thus produces a common-mode signal which is canceled at the receiver when the difference signal is taken.

This method starts to fail when the noise source is close to the signal wires; the closer wire will couple with the noise more strongly and the common-mode rejection of the receiver will fail to eliminate it. This problem is especially apparent in telecommunication cables where pairs in the same cable lie next to each other for many miles. One pair can induce crosstalk in another and it is additive along the length of the cable. Twisting the pairs counters this effect as on each half twist the wire nearest to the noise-source is exchanged.

Providing the interfering source remains uniform, or nearly so, over the distance of a single twist, the induced noise will remain common-mode. Differential signaling also reduces electromagnetic radiation from the cable, along with the associated attenuation allowing for greater distance between exchanges.

The twist rate (also called pitch of the twist, usually defined in twists per meter) makes up part of the specification for a given type of cable. When nearby pairs have equal twist rates, the same conductors of the different pairs may repeatedly lie next to each other, partially undoing the benefits of differential mode. For this reason it is commonly specified that, at least for cables containing small numbers of pairs, the twist rates must differ." - Taken from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twisted_pair

Enjoy your brief moment in the sun, we were truly terrible, but I look forward to watching you get ripped apart at the weekend and for your irrelevant little country never to qualify for another tournament.

We are for sure enjoying our brief moment in the sun. My skin has gone red. Semi final here we come.

Who's going to rip us apart this weekend?

:p

I love the way a country 25 times bigger than mine, takes pride in mocking us.
You sound llke Man U fans stating how many trophies you have won more than Newport AFC. Do I care?
I am proud, and celebrate my small nation's achievements. When were you proud? Tonight's underachievement and disappointment continues.
It's a sad day for England.

Shhhhhhh ... *Pats on head* We are supporting you ... not mocking you ... we know we're rubbish!

England truly have had an awful week. You deserve it, so Enjoy.
PS better buy this T-Shirt before it becomes £20 in the next few days.
Grow up imbecile. I take it you are one of these remain voters. Can't accept democracy. WE HAVE OUR COUNTRY BACK.

What does "We have our country back" actually mean though? My assumption is most people saying it mean we can set our own laws, control our own borders and have less interference from Brussels. But really, we already set our own laws and based on what several leave MPs have been saying this week we won't control our own borders as we're going to have to accept free movement if we want single market access (which we really, REALLY do). As for Brussell's interference, compared to most other EU countries they meddled very little in our affairs. Sure, The Sun, The Mirror etc.. drum up anger towards the European Court of Human rights, but really there's maybe one questionable case every other week or so that causes outrage.

I'm not trying to be a smart a**e or sarcastic here, I genuinely want to hear what people mean by saying "We have our country back".
