Right here goes - but before I put this on and to stop the usual gripes, please note:

1 - I've done a search for this on hukd and can't find it anywhere! Soapols if it is already here
2- No shouting at me from the chicken police please - I am posting what some might consider a good deal - this does not mean I agree with how the product is raised, killed, cooked, packed or sold. Therefore, no debates please on chicken politics and beliefs.

These hot chickens from the deli counter are £2 each from today for a limited period - They're usually £3.99 a pop.

Sorry- not sure how long it's on for but it's usually a week or so so grab them while you can.

I only know because I saw my mate who works at the local store hanging the banner up in the heavy rain last night!!

Are you sure these are cooked ones @ £2?

If so my store is screwed - No more volume in last night than usual (although plenty of the £2 DIY ones).

Firstly, you should mind your own business, what makes you have the god given right to interfere or critisise the way someone brings up their children.

Secondly, what's wrong with feeding something high-protein like chicken to a growing child?

I'm a vegetarian. I will feed my kids meat.

By your standards, you might as well feed a child cat food - 'cos that's all this is fit for:p

did the people who think this chicken priced @ £2 is poo, think it was poo when it was at the full price of £4 odd? would they think it was better if it cost a tenner?

At ours there is normally a queue for ten mins before the chickens are ready and they go within 5 mins of them being done. With this offer It will be luck to get one!

I don't think that the price is really the issue. It's the fact that these chickens have clearly been raised in poor condition and fed a cocktail of drugs to bulk them up. I don't think you can argue that one can you??

Now, points are:

1. Do you care about the conditions?
2. Do you care about the drugs that these chickens have been give that may over time build up in your own body and may be responsible for health issues (note the "may").

If someone could point me to a reputable scientific study, which shows eating these is worse for you than a free range chicken please do and I'll consider changing my eating habits.

your point # 2.... so you dont drink alcohol, smoke, eat mac dees or kfc, crisps, chocolate, sausages, burgers, pizza, cakes ect ect which over time may be responsible for health issues?.... now where was that thread for the boost bar for 15p? yum lol :-D

"Top guy."

Funny, because I was thinking more along the lines of '********' , as his arguments and standards are all over the place and he clearly doesn't understand the problem a lot of people have with chickens that cost $1.99

It's got nothing to do with the protein content by the way, in case you were wondering. I also don't see how a vegetarian can condone current commercial chicken farming (I don't see how any decent human being can to be honest, but I see I'm in the minority here).

Boy, there are some seriously ignorant comments on this thread.

Is the OP certain it is the cooked ones? I made a mistake last night as my store had banners up showing cooked chickens, but the text mentioned that they were the uncooked ones.
