Top London cop, Police Constable Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg), finds himself reassigned to the sleepy West Country village of Sandford. With garden fetes and neighbourhood watch meetings replacing the action of the city, Angel struggles to adapt to his situation and finds himself partnered with Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), an oafish but well meaning young Constable. Just as all seems lost, a series of grisly accidents motivates Angel into action. Convinced of foul play, Angel realises that Sandford may not be as idyllic as it seems....

Where's the better price?

There's no point in pre-ordering titles like this. They're not gonna run out & when they're actually released each retailer tries to undercut the next meaning that offers will make this cheaper by £'s. If nobody's doing a copy cheaper than this on the day of release PM me & I'll send you £20 & you can keep the change!

...pretty much sums it up.

Would expect it to be cheaper in places like asda, tescos, etc.

May even be some first week promotion like they did with casino royale.

My favourite film of all time...? Maybe.

My favourite comedy film of all time...? Yes.

Maybe not pre-order, but certainly get this when it's out!!
#9
I personally preferred Shaun of the dead, but this was good too.

Not worth preordering at this price though - 2 days after release your see it in Asda for £7! :giggle:

Actually make that Somerfields!!

I didn't think Shaun of the Dead was funny at all after watching this... have you watched SOTD since?

My price limit for films now has come down to around £5, £7 if it a great film.
#16
You're as cold as ice... I'm willing to sacrifice. I'd rather spend £16.99 on polystyrene beads than spend so much on a forthcoming DVD.
#17
i thought this was an HD DVD or blurry version of the film when i saw the price.

sorry but a cold vote from me, i know the suggested price is £20 or more but i havent seen a film sell at that sort of price online, maybe it is those prices in whsmiths , but also as mentioned, most supermarkets will be knocking it out for £12.99 or around that price come release day.
#18
Brrrr....
#19
As predicted, the price is coming down...

£12.89 at PowerPlayDirect is currently the cheapest (before any Quidco or vouchers): http://www.powerplaydirect.com/asp/itemdetails.asp?prodID=1431395&itemsec=DV&refID=webgains&siteid=6163

For fans, Virgin and HMV will have different "collector's" covers.
#20
Not seen it.
But SOTD was so dull and unfunny that I wouldnt want to watch this.

£17 .. are you serious?:S
#21
No...which is why it's voted so cold and I'm presenting an alternative...
#22
brilliant film, terrible price.

voted cold.
#23
I wish I hadn't bothered resurrecting this thread, obviously no-one reads the most recent posts!
#24
you could get a HD DVD or BluRay disc for this price. Insane!
Give it 6 months and it will be £3.99 from HMV.
#25
