Hot Fuzz HD-DVD @ HMV £4.64 using Quidco!!! £4.99
Free delivery too
This was on for £3.99 when the £2.99 sale started, but added to basket at £17.99 for me strangely.
Then they amended the price up to £17.99, now it's £4.99!!!
Cracking price for a fairly new film

what he said, it may be cheap but its not a hot deal as has been this price for months n everyone knows this
Well it never worked for me, and that deal is dead now. This is the cheapest anywhere on the internet so to vote it cold is absolutely pathetic
Can you find this deal on there ? No, didn't think so
Yes, actually: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/214635/hmv-hd-dvd-s-for-2-99-sale-now-on/
It was £4.99 long before that deal was posted, during that deal, and unsurprisingly still is that price.
I've not voted, but people will vote a deal cold if it's an old deal that's been posted (and deleted) several times before.
Plus what everyone else said.
Cold.

Really ? Show everyone where Hot Fuzz is on that deal, and if it is cheaper elsewhere then post it.
It went down to £3.99, so it hasn't stayed the same at all, and that deal has now expired so is null and void. I also searched back 4 or 5 pages and there wasn't loads of deals for this film on HD-DVD
A lot of people are voting cold because they've got it themselves or it's been on for cheaper before whether it's expired or not. That's just selfish, ill informed and wrong.
What about new members who missed the old deal ?
What about new lurkers that missed the old deal ?
What about the people who are just getting into Simon Pegg's work ?
What about the people who are just getting into British films ?
What about the people who have just got into HD-DVDs ?
What about the people who have just got a new HD TV to go with their HD-DVD player ?
The list is endless. But no, because it was once cheaper and people have got it you vote cold. :whistling:
It isn't a review site, it's a deal site. If this, along with other deals, is the cheapest anywhere on the internet then it is a hot deal. What is so hard to understand about that ?
Any reason why it isn't ?

Come on, you could have bumped the 2.99 HD-DVD thread.
American Gangster and The Kingdom are even newer films and cheaper but we don't want to see a thread for each title, do we?

I distinctly remember a solar flare quoting a post on a general sale thread, saying post it as a separate deal.
Think it was gary_rip, can't remember the thread.
I'm not after praise or rep or attention and i don't want a 2000 degree thread. I just want to point out a deal which isn't going to get iced because it was once cheaper elsewhere.
I mean come on guys, for a noob looking at this he's going to look at the temp and think it's a cr*p deal, when it's in fact the cheapest on the internet right now.
because it's been around the £2.99/£3.99 mark for months and no doubt will be again soon, It's not as if it was these prices for a couple of days. £4.99 for a hd-dvd is not a hot deal.
I agree. Personally, I think £4.99 is a bit much for a HD-DVD. Let alone for a movie like Hot Fuzz.

It is far from a unique price and has been much cheaper (eg when part of Amazon Bogof weekend).
It is getting harder to find since Hut, Play and HMV chuckouts, but is still £4.99 at Zavvi and can be got with Pans Labyrinth for a tenner at DVD co.uk.
As for the "hidden" HMV £2.99 thread it is clearly linked as 2nd "2Hottest Post of the Week" window with a temperature of 951 degrees on the Entertainment pages.
Edit now the Hottest thread at 1077 degrees.
